OFFICIAL Broncos release Andrew McCullough

thanks for everything Macca.

I think its because if the shutdown, but ive still got in my head those nice little link up moment between Turps and Croft before he went off against Souths..

If opposing teams want to force the ref to call 6 again in their own red zone then its combos like that for us that can break them down. Macca game is out of step when it comes to breaking down this...

Face facts, the game has passed Macca by; we have realised it finally......Knights probably haven't yet...but needs must...he will do a job for them..

Appreciate all that he has given to the club....he appears to be a good mentor to some of the younger guys.
However i'm sure his best is now behind him and it is the right time for him to go.
Seibs is slowly but surely getting all his chess pieces in place [emoji41]

true...we have been our own worst enemy at times when it comes to recruitment and roster construction. It will take time to unwind the worst of them.

Im loathed to place Bird in that category but....yeh.....why did he come here again..?

He'll be good for them. With his work ethic and experience, he'll suit them fine and will be most likely one of the few fit players to return, although I was a little concerned with his lack of passion in the first two rounds, a new club might inspire him.
In any event, I guess we better hope Corey paid is fit.

Because Bennett wanted to try to prove that he still had pulling power (remember we missed out on some players before that). So he just signed someone without regard to whether the team needed them or not.

seems after the hunt for GI went south....recruiting interstate players became this seemingly insurmountable hurdle for us.....we just haven't been able to pull off a decent signing that the team actually needed and was paid the current market rate...

Croft will be a good test; all this team needs is a standard NRL half back....to steer it around...no delusions of grandeur and chasing the next A Johns....

Given the salary cap, Croft "could" be one of our better pieces of recruitment...certainly in the last 10 years..

What about Milf, TPJ, or Blair?

Who on earth could you possibly drop from that side I named? They're all far better players than what you'd expect a 33 year old Te'o to be. And Paix is non-negotiable, we're 100% playing a utility on the bench, Seibold has already said that.

I dont think Paix is non-negotiable. He could and has used blokes like Shibasaki and Farnworth as a utility, and i recall him saying on some fox footy show Glenn can fill that role as well. I personally think we need a second player for the hooker role so i think Paix is the logical option in that regard.

Completely missed my point but that's fine. I'm saying a utility is non-negotiable, as you so kindly backed up in your post, Seibold always plays a utility even if he doesn't intend on playing them.

There's no room for Te'o in a fully fit 17.

I dont think thats the case. He had a clear idea of how he wanted to use Bird and it just didnt work out. Bird was a top tier player at the time we signed him and a fully fit and firing Bird would improve us immensely.

We didnt really lose our pulling power either. Apart from Ash Taylor and Cam Smith who did we lose? We didnt lose Ash because of our pulling power, we lost him because the Titans offered him about $300k a year more than we did. It was purely about money. Smith just played us to get himself a better contract with the grubs.

You did say specifically Paix was non-negotiable, not a utility was non-negotiable. We have other options.

I think Teo would be in a fair bit but probably not a regular like you say. Pangai has no brains, he is always going to pick up at least a couple of long suspensions every year. For all his brilliance when he is on his game, he is a liability due to him making the same mistakes over and over again.

I meant Paix as a utilty placeholder in a hypothetical full strength team is non-negotiable, didn't think it was that hard to understand, my bad xD

Does anyone know who is 4th on the hooker list behind Siebs in the video? Looks like a long name.
Haven't looked at the video, but have seen elsewhere that Kobe Hetherington is in the development squad as a hooker
