All deserved winners.
Carrigan's improvement as a player was outstanding, he just about doubled his input in every statistical category and played well beyond his years. His biggest issue is that he never stopped putting his hand up, there were times where the ball should have gone elsewhere but nobody else was willing to step up. A great year considering the circumstances.
Payne is just a freak of nature. He's quickly established himself as one of the best forwards in the game and his endurance is incredible. It's amazing that given the speed of the game he was able to get through 80 on a consistent basis. Back to back PotY awards and richly deserved.
Staggs was the Broncos most likely option all season and he produced one of the best performance in recent years in that Round 2 victory over Souths. One of the few reasons to tune in during such a difficult year for the club. That fend he produced in that try is well worth celebrating.
Herbie did a good job for the Broncos. Even when he was named in the centres at QCup he largely played wing, so to do it a level above and actually have some positive moments is a real credit to him. Hopefully, he finds that consistensy in that game and goes onto have a long career.
