OFFICIAL Broncos Player Awards 2020

No presser to announce a new coach and a breakfast for an award night. We need Kevvie to do functions as well.

The only winner out of this is Milford who no doubt would have relished a celebratory breakfast.

Corporate shills like Morris are so full of shit that I'm honestly not sure why they even bother getting people like them to speak at all at functions.

If Kevvie is suddenly a 'winner' despite not having won anything at all since the last time they decided to overlook him, what on Earth has changed their minds about him now?

Perhaps the trophy could be a small canary in a cage as a metaphor for how these two halfwits were probably a warning sign of the year that was to come.

I agree about Milford too, he certainly does seem to be very strongly encouraged by McDonalds.

All deserved winners.

Carrigan's improvement as a player was outstanding, he just about doubled his input in every statistical category and played well beyond his years. His biggest issue is that he never stopped putting his hand up, there were times where the ball should have gone elsewhere but nobody else was willing to step up. A great year considering the circumstances.

Payne is just a freak of nature. He's quickly established himself as one of the best forwards in the game and his endurance is incredible. It's amazing that given the speed of the game he was able to get through 80 on a consistent basis. Back to back PotY awards and richly deserved.

Staggs was the Broncos most likely option all season and he produced one of the best performance in recent years in that Round 2 victory over Souths. One of the few reasons to tune in during such a difficult year for the club. That fend he produced in that try is well worth celebrating.

Herbie did a good job for the Broncos. Even when he was named in the centres at QCup he largely played wing, so to do it a level above and actually have some positive moments is a real credit to him. Hopefully, he finds that consistensy in that game and goes onto have a long career.

The point about Carrigan is a really important one that needs to be made more often on this forum. I've seen so many people deride him for regularly taking a shit hit up on the fourth tackle during games with nobody ever apparently stopping to ask the question about why our Lock Forward in his second ever season was so often in a position to have to take a flat footed hit up like that in the first place.

Also crazy to think Haas ended up having realistically a poorer year than he did in 2019 and still going almost completely unchallenged as being our best player.

Staggs too missed more than 25% of the season for us and yet as you said, I can barely remember a great attacking moment we had that he wasn't a significant part of, which tells you how dire the rest of the side was.

I hope there was no full buffet breakfasts for these pot plants. Bowl of cornflakes with skim milk and some Nescafe Blend 43 will do them.

Could the club send Darbs out with a trophy?

Least run metres for a back perhaps: Darius Boyd: 1670m?
Or best support for a running forward? Assisting Payne Haas in his 2970m run?

That a stretch?

From Zero Tackle... His try assists look good, maybe I am missing something else.

For bull headed stubborn there has to be a trophy for Pies for keeping with his selection policy of never dropping anyone (apart from the Jet)

I think Siebs earned his Dud of the Year Trophy and Darbs earned his Spud of the Year trophy. Good riddance.

Fan Favourite would 100% be Katoni Staggs.
