Great three way hooker battle today. Both Teeed hookers were the difference.

I was saying in pre season even at his age he would be a solid pick up. Deloise Hoeter is another. Plenty of good players in ISC who just havent got a decent crack in the NRL for whatever reason. Sometimes they just end up at the wrong club at the wrong time.

For whatever reason....isn't that what our scouts are for?
I suppose its dependent on what their told to look for. Is that the problem at the club therein......we haven't got recruitment managers who know what the **** they are doing?

"Best forward outside the NRL"......consistently over seasons/years. Even if he is not in the right age group for long term use...surely a cheap arse contract gets him a game or two for Brisbane.....(I'm not talking today....but in the past)

Sometimes things just dont fall in place for some of these guys. I'm a firm believer in luck. Some blokes get lucky breaks in their careers, others slog their guts out, perform well and they never seem to get an opportunity. I think a lot get overlooked at times the older they get.

He has been in the ISC since 2010 and apart from two years at Souths and one game no one else has seen anything they want. I’m not saying they’re right because I’ve said for 13 years he’s an NRL forward but obviously no one agrees with me. He won the Petero Medal in 2018 for best player in the ISC and has won five Langer Medals now for best Jets player and still no one knocks.

Talk to Madge and he loves him, great trainer, great player but gave him one game and hasn’t brought him to the Tigers.

James is a good goal kicker too, played MM for Norths so bet they're happy he's been moved to Souths for ISC- he was half and Paix 6/captain in 2018 and then James captain in 2019.

No one is like Walker, even if he doesn't play NRL for 15 years I have never seen a kid like Walker. Doubt I ever will see a 14 year old train opposed sessions with ISC again and be beating them.

James is not dynamic he is just a cool head and good kick, very good basic skills- good leader and communicating skills.

He played in the Wynnum trial I believe... came on late in the second half as the left side half.

From memory he looked enthusiastic, but had some errors and a poor kick. Didn't really have enough time to settle himself into the game I'd say

Yeah he did, played Colts for Souths round one and now ISC.

Too conservative for that, I imagine James thinks three craft beers at home and Thai take away is loose and might halt his career.

Probably stays up all night worried about his pinch test the next day- which he probably does himself each morning.
