OFFICIAL Adam Reynolds will join the Broncos in 2022

Incoming reports indicate Adam Reynolds will sign a three-year deal with the Broncos worth approximately $2.25 million by the end of the week. That's $200,000 less than the Sharks offered, but will include the captaincy. Thank Wayne Bennett for swaying that, apparently. Reynolds is reported to have already told his team mates he's leaving.

Nicho Hynes signature is likely to follow.

Story has high confidence. Expecting announcement tomorrow.

Damien Cook:

“I have had a chat with him where I’ve asked him to stay, he’s a big reason why I came to the club in the first place, because he was the halfback. Is it a cruel part of our game where you can’t keep everyone? It is. But we’ll see what happens.”

Reynolds’ manager Steve Gillis:

“Not once has Adam said to me I don’t want to move to Queensland, it’s not a barrier at all for him. People just assume because he has four kids, he won’t want to move, but Adam is open to moving. Adam wants the security of a longer-term deal certainly. There’s no point signing one-year deals if you plan on playing for three or four more years. He will get a three-year deal wherever he chooses to go, he is 30 years of age and Benji Marshall (Souths teammate) has shown playmakers can play until their mid-30s.”

Meanwhile, the Sharks are rumoured to be considering Anthony Milford instead. But that's more speculation based on who else is coming to market than anything solid.

So apparently Reynolds has instigated this medical check to put our minds at ease about a 3 year deal.

He has reportedly already passed one done by the Sharks

if you believe the guys on NRL360, it sounds like we did the opposite of the Sharks.

after meeting with Fitzgibbon, the Sharks sent their version of Nolan to seal the deal.

we send the big guns, sending DD and Kevvie down to meet him. not to mention our initial offer wasn't an insulting lowball

That isn’t true. Nolan was massive.

Another pearler was them saying he is too old and is a risk.. right before they started talking amongst themselves about James Maloney who is 34 years of age

Happy with the Reynolds signing, given it is 3 years, I hope they find a bright, upcoming junior halfback and have Reynolds mentor him for the next 3 years so we have someone ready to replace him, rather than just being in the same boat again in 3 years.

Less fussed on Hynes, though he looks decent. We need a better fullback clearly, but I still think a better hooker is a more urgent priority for this team. Donuts and Kev should definitely be rolling out the red carpet for the cheese…
I was probably in this category of thought too but Reynolds does go a long way in reducing our need for a gun Dummy Half. I'd still like to improve our Dummy Half role but there honestly isn't a lot on the market that we could actually get our hands on, so in that scenario I think going after Hynes makes a lot of sense.

I would look for a hooker to share with Turpin from the bench as top tier all under contract. Granville could do that job well in my view and I think he is off contract. Billy Brittain another

B.Walters will probably fill that void.
Id like to see Paix get a run at 14 and come on in the 9 role. Seems he has fallen well out of favour.

Glad he's coming. But it is concerning we can't produce good enough spine players of our own.
