If the officiating is consistent and on par with the first two games, we are looking at 30+ sin bins this round.

The 6 again rule change increases fatigue which causes tackle technique to decline and they thought bringing in this new sin bin rule was a great idea?

What in the actual **** are these fucktards smoking? Last night was a fucking debacle. Vlandy's and certain people on the rules committee are ruining this sport.

If this rule stays, then what Vossy said is correct, we're going to see A LOT of big scorelines because the contests are going to be so lopsided.

Fucking amateur hour at NRL HQ.
V’landys will fix it by declaring high shots are now set restarts, it would be funny if it weren’t entirely possible....

If you consider sin bins as 10 minutes and don’t account for full time cutting them short than 80 minutes worth of sin bins were handed out in 160 minutes of football.

PVL is a text book Narcissist. He will keep changing rules rather than admit he was wrong.
the 4 quarters will be in soon, so the players can “rest”. This plays into the hands of the advertising too.

There will be a new directive from the NRL to stop the sin binnings now as there is too much backlash.
These first 2 games will be the only ones that pay the full price of the sin binning debacle.

Which should lead to this year having an asterisk on it same as last year. It's not the same game as last week. It won't be the same game next week either. They shouldn't be dumb enough to change the rules mid-round but I bet they will... As much as I don't want to give them views for the rest of the weekend, I'm very curious to see if the other games are officiated the same way.

Vossy asked the general public their thoughts on the magic round so far.
I read through a bazzillion comments and saw a total of 2 people who were not disgusted by it.

I’m actually off Walters and the Broncos for a bit after that press conference too. He needed to fire up. I’m sick of being bent over by the NRL every week and if they can’t defend their fans then why should we bother? We don’t have a backbone anymore. At this point we are enabling their bullshit. Walters said he felt sorry for the fans but not enough to stand up for us.
I couldn’t believe it. The game is literally being destroyed before our eyes and we let it just go through to the keeper?

And once again amateur hour. The fact Vlandys has to pay court fees, etc I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes it out of the NRL’s funds.

It's great there's a backlash, but the last thing we want is these rules dropped before the end of the round. Otherwise Riki and TPJ will end up being the fall guys at judiciary. Safety in (high) numbers.

Update: V'landy's says he's open to considering reducing the 10-minute sin bin to five but no changes this weekend.

Vlandys has spoken:

“I’m not taking a backward step. It’s short-term pain for long-term gain,” V’landys said.

“It will kill the game if we don’t get tough on foul play and particularly contact with the head.

“Unless we do something now we’re going to be paying in the long run.”

The bloke is out of touch, he doesnt seem to realize he is killing the game quicker than any future CTE court cases.
