NEWS Pangai told to leave

Frankly between this and today's sackings, I think we have been giving Pangai a little too much rope because of his best performances, which were admittedly just as few and far between as someone like Fifita. If he could perform like he did against the Cows in 2019 and against the Roosters this year every other week, that extra rope would be well deserved, but the truth is he doesn't. He goes missing way too often, and that coupled with some questionable decisions off field (hanging out with bikies with no regard for the optics, seeking out the Tigers in the middle of a season) points to exactly the sort of attitude that we need the least at the moment.

Bon voyage Tevita. You were a pleasure to watch when you bothered to show up, but your stupidity both on and off the field is simply unwelcome at this club anymore.

Now watch him never get suspended again when he's playing for a Sydney club

They said on Triple M this morning that Badel was leaked the info by a Tigers staff member half way through the game, he tweeted it immediately, and the Broncos went in to damage control. They were not allowed to deny them access to TPJ as all players have to be made available post-game, and media guys grabbed the opportunity knowing that TPJ would have no idea it was leaked and would be put on the spot.

Dobbo (note: Dobbo) alluded to the fact that there was player unrest that led to Bennett going, and similar knifing resulted in Seibold going. And that Kev knows what is and has gone on, and is not going to end up the same way. Him and DD are on to it, so my assumption is that, if TPJ is being told to leave, they may believe he is one of the trouble-makers. Also make me wonder if Glenn is captain because he is a good clubman and isn't the sort to knife the club or its coach, and is held up as an example of players doing their job in the team (even though he is playing like shit).
If this is true DD should be going back to them and saying that whatever we were going to cover take 100k off that or the deal is off for this bullshit.

Can we not turn every fucking thread into a conspiracy thread?

By all means, have at it in that kooky one you started. But keep it there so that people who don’t want to read that shit can avoid it.
How about we start a "head in the sand" or the "stick your finger in your ears and shout na na na na" thread for those who refuse to see the bleeding obvious.

It really is tiresome this "conspiracy" parroting. Men in power do bad things behind closed doors to get what they want. Or is everyone in your world nice and peachy?

Tiresome? You spew the exact same line in every thread, even when it has nothing to do with the topic at hand, and you want to call others tiresome?

That’ll do me.

That’s on club management more than Wayne. Souths look to be managing the transition post-Wayne much smarter than us or Newcastle. I think it’s just so hard for coaches to follow him, you can’t possibly live up to a character like that who has so much admiration from his players.

that's because they seem to have taken all control off Wayne

nonsense. wayno is no saint but this idea that he salts the earth before he leaves is bs.

he publicly stated several times reynolds should be re-signed.
Correct. He didn't leave St George in a shambles, he delivered them a premiership AND they still love him for that. In fact, St George
wanted him back. Tinkler left Newcastle in a shambles. He wanted to buy a premiership instead of the long game approach. The Broncos got themselves into this mess and Souths are still a strong respected club and no doubt will continue to be so.

your posts are pretty annoying, please consider making them less annoying lest you earn the shame of my block list alongside a certain train driver, phd

Interesting. Thanks for the insight. Definitely makes a lot more sense in light of that

I mean, while it is nice to have some solidarity in the conspiracy theory, you're really handling it poorly if you're seeking to gain any allies yourself. It can be frustrating to not be heard, but calling people names or insulting their own beliefs/intelligence really only pushes them away. You're not the first person to think that this is an NRL play to install a second Brisbane team, but really only time will tell now. You have been heard, and when Brisbane 2.0 arrives and a short time later Broncos start to be a force again you can come back and say "I told you so", but right now you appear like a kid with a saucepan banging it around the halls of BHQ and it's not doing you any favours.

It just boggles my mind that we let good quality players go for no reason mid season.

He's not struggling to get a game like Isaako or Oates so he's in our starting 13 every week. What's the point in letting a player like that walk? Is he a locker room cancer?
We should have moved him on last year when we had the chance. The issue is not that he is not first grade standard it is that we are paying way too much for him on what he delivers. Roosters would have used the reason last year to move him on. If we had a balanced team overall he is the type of player you can keep for x factor and wear the up and down performance. We are not in the position to carry that luxury and defensively he has some deficiencies you could get in a much cheaper second rower.

Would you agree that the events of the last couple of days and the apparent intention to continue cleaning out the club are inconsistent with the club being involved in this little conspiracy plot? This more appears to be someone finally realising that the lunatics that have been running the asylum are in fact lunatics and inept and incompetent ones at that.

You are on the gear, who's your doctor? that's some good shit

I think it was a clear line in the sand and for me it made watching another embarrassing performance more tolerable because I know changes are being made. There’s no more whispers and innuendo.

I agree it was poor form to let Nine corner him like that but he could’ve easily said no comment and walked off.

I don’t think this is any less disrespectful than him meeting with Madge and then saying he didn’t, or breaking COVID restrictions and calling the roosters.

I don’t think it’s a PR disaster at all. Imagine what the media would have looked like if we lost 46-0 and this wasn’t the talking point. That would’ve been far more embarrassing. Instead all the talk was about if the players were worth keeping or not, and how the club has decided enough is enough. Given how bad the team is travelling and how awful this performance was, I think the club has come out of that game in complete control of the narrative.

This. The club just told the entire fan base (that still watch the games anyway) that changes are coming and shits about to get done.
