Also, I’m not sure how I’d feel about bringing Gagai in if he’s coming but if so, it would be pretty cool if the Broncs have 4 Qld reps coming in with Gagai, Capewell, Su’A and Lee.

As much as I like Gagai, I think he's done. Hopefully he gets a good preseason to refresh.

But I doubt we will get him for that. I know he is what we need but he is also what the Tigers, Dogs need and the Sharks and Cows will also be interested. We cannot get into a bidding war on him, this is my point.
Cows don’t need Finucane they got Taumalolo and he won’t get that sort of money to play front row. I think they will use McLean, Gilbert and Hola as front rowers

Yeah you are probably right but the Tigers and Dogs will go hard for him and we just cannot afford to get into a bidding war. There are other players we can target for what he brings who are younger and less injury prone, albeit not quite as good.

Tigers don’t have that sort of money unless they start clearing out like us. Dogs would but I think they’re looking for a younger team. Also I know we’re technically lower than them on the ladder but the only thing Dogs have over us is Sydney is closer to home

Unless some parents are worried Dobbo might eat their kids, not sure why they’d be ringing him for reassurance.

I get the angst about bringing in non-spine players but these pieces make it more attractive for spine players to come. Optics are important. These good players coming in can make those spine players who might be undecided realise this is a destination club on the up again.

Also there’s no spine players available outside of SJ.
