He hurt us in Round 6. Played 80 minutes, scored a try (one of 5 this season). Made 42 tackles, missed 2, with 2 ineffective. I liked what I saw.

Well Capewell did score a game winner for the Panthers from absolutely nothing this year... and had numerous big plays for Qld last year.
I recall he was very good for the sharks prior to joining the panthers.. he'd have to come in from nowhere and play 80mins only to be their best player.
He's just a flat out footy player and is very much in the Gillett mold... minus the explosive hitting in defence.

Off contract end of 23 I believe... right around the time we need to start blooding a replacement for Reynolds.
We can put a contract in front of him November 1 next year

I wasn't sure about Capewell. He does remind me a bit of Gavin Cooper.......which other than >Cowboys<, isn't a bad thing. He could run a good line......

He scored when Penrith needed it towards the end against Storm from nothing, scored QLD's only try in origin 1 and set up a ridiculous try for Brimson in Game 1 Origin last year.. they're big plays mate.

I don't proclaim to have any sauce or inside Goss, other than the following. A, player who has had exposure to training and playing at two very successful clubs of recent years said the vibe at Broncos training wasn't great and it was very clique. They did not appear to be a team. Take from that what you will.

It was good to get it confirmed though from the inside. I hope that the players being moved on have been flagged as part of the problem.

Just on Glenn, he is coming across as a massive cancer in this squad and he’s the ****ing captain…. The way he has these little groups on social media doing shit where the whole team isn’t invited is just segregation and not a team environment.
my world was infantry for a very long time, we rolled in platoons but your section which depending on the conflict I was training for, was 8 to 12 blokes, when we organised to go have a drink, golf or whatever on our days off everyone was there no questions asked. You had to have a good reason not to be there, kids bday, wedding or someone’s funeral. That was it, you did everything together build a ****ing bond. You never invited half the section and not the other half.

I look at our defence structure and shake my head but half the problem is these blokes don’t know each other, it obvious they train badly….but honestly with a proper leader this shit get nipped in the bud so quickly.

I'm not a fan of Glenn, but there is no evidence as to if people are invited or not. You see certain boys like Asiata, Staggs and Oates playing golf together, while others do beach days etc. It's possibly nobody wants to go and do instagram shoots with him.

Interestingly enough, it was found that the Nazi soldiers cared more for their brothership and camaraderie than any of the Nazi propaganda that was circulating at the time.
Furthermore, wounded British soldiers would sneak out of the hospital with holes in them to go back to the trenches with their mates.
The German army would intentionally bring troops back from the front to induct new members into a troop so as to form a bond first before they would redeploy.
It's a very effective military tactic to make soldiers believe that they will be letting their mates down and functions far better than any nationalistic rhetoric.
It is a great point and I would much prefer to see it in sports than military application.
