[Round 16, 2021] Broncos vs Sharks

Yeah Flegs would benefit with some time in cup.
It's been the case for more than 12 months now and truthfully if injuries had allowed then it might have already happened.

With Lodgey gone, I have found a new avatar. I don't know how long the Gamble train will run for, but he's it for now since he's been right in the middle of two of my favourite moments of the season - hulking up when he got Brimson sin-binned vs the Tits, and what was effectively the match-turning moment yesterday. Jeez fans of other clubs must hate him which makes me love him even more lol.
You know full well who should be replacing Lodge in your avatar, his replacement!!

To be honest I quite like Flegler and think he's just doing an apprenticeship at the moment. I've never thought props are doing their best work in their early twenties. I know I know, what about Haas ? Well, Haas might not be anywhere near his best!! He may become the GOAT in the position. Keep Flegler unless we need to trim more fat but I vote he stays and develops. Mind you, he's way overpaid IF the reported 600k pa is correct.
Nothing against Flegler but I think he needs a little break , and all the forwards from yesterday deserve their spots atm

Palasia should be considered, no?

He played 55 mins, 28 tackles 2 misses, ran for 168 metres, 79 pcm in a pretty darn good performance. Thought he was putting his hand up.

You are absolutely right, I fell quite silly forgetting him as he was so good yesterday. I was genuinely surprised as I didn’t think he had a game like that in him, he was excellent.

Now thinking about him, I’d have him in ahead of Flegler for a week or two as I think Flegs needs time in Q Cul even though I am a massive fan of the kid. I think Flegs will end up a better version of Kennedy and that is a good thing, Kennedy is a really good prop, very happy we have him.

In reality though, I think it will be a choice between Palasia and Bullemor and if so, you’d definitely go with Palasia after what he did in that game.

I find it difficult to choose between quite a few of our tearaways. Robati, Bull, Palasia, Flegs, Piakura and Hetherington. We have some willing guys and like Penrith they may become part of a formidable team. I mean they may grow into a really great team with real cohesion, understanding and trust. It will be hard to keep them especially if the bulk of them kick on.

Just finished watching the game. Wtf happened in the first few minutes with Staggs being taken out and that blatant forward pass coming back 2 min later was an absolute joke. Deadset, Cummins is either corrupt or incompetent, cmv.
A little from column A, a little from column B.

I rewatched the game late last night, those who have mentioned Palasia are spot on, he was very good off the bench. He made some solid contacts and good yards. Also Rikki the new Alex Glenn was good in his short stint.

That last play of the game that Payno did was huge, he come from the 20m line on the 20 tram track and never stopped. I would like to mention he was not the only one, Kennedy got there and disrupted the line enough for AJ to be hindered, Rikki got back to play a role in the Payne handball. Glenn and Stagg also got there about and Tessi covered nicely but then gave up. So impressive that two middles got there and a second rower, on the last play of the game, huge play and if I was coach that would impress me big time. tells you a lot about players.

Good to see at last ...

Adios Lodge, TPJ, Milford.

The rot is being removed, the reset has begun and its looking good.
God, I so badly want this to be true.

I did watch this game with a Sharks fan mind you, and he unintentionally somewhat burst my bubble when he voiced his frustration that not only had the Sharks dropped a game to us, they've also dropped one to the Bulldogs this year, so I'm inclined to not want to get too carried away with this one just yet because the Sharks may not be quite the barometer of success to measure ourselves against.
