Is everyone as far off wanting Dufty as they are Vaughan? They are saying he ran 5kms home to avoid the cops when they showed up. Pretty bad also.

I'll preface this by saying I don't actually want Dufty, just curious. I don't think we wanted him for football reasons before this even happened.
You make a good point... his first thought being to leg it when the cops turn up starts to lend some weight to the rumours about a possible shit attitude off the footy field.

I'd say that him being caught up in this should put a line straight through his name... if it hadn't been already.

DD knows exactly what a good football squad looks like and it's typically full of smart footy players (rather than pure athletes) with good character and work ethics.

That appears to be priority number one with recruitment at the moment as well

Absolutely. I get the feeling if David and Ben can work hand in hand together to help Kevin achieve, we’ll be on our way back to where we belong. May I say - about bloody time.

Just saw something. Staggs and Niu are both eligible for Tonga at the RL world cup. Should we move him to 5/8th soon and be looking for a Tongan Halfback or Hooker as a backup, and play off that connection?

And would that keep Staggs or Niu out of an origin jersey long term? That Tongan team is more than capable of winning a world cup. And if Staggs and Niu committed to it, and did help pull it off, They could go close to being immortals.

It could also justify slightly higher price tags in the medium to long term.

There's no point getting rid of Lodge just to replace him with another expensive prop. If the Broncos do sign another one, it needs to be on 200-300K at the most, and hopefully someone with experience.
Correct, we need another prop to REPLACE KENNEDY ON THE BENCH !!!! 😂😂😂😂
We've already replaced Lodge in my very old man, biased surrogate Dad opinion.

Hope bullemor gets more of a run with kennedy starting
I do like what he brings. Honestly I think there's a lot to like about all our youngsters , well all the one's who have had a taste of first grade.

There is so many parts to this post, and I can't work out which idea/comment I hate the most. A truly shocking post filled with putrid ideas.

If you read the press release the broncos do with each re-signing it’s not hard to notice the central theme is about character. DD has been big on it too in interviews he’s had, the club wants to recruit good people first. They aren’t going to be interested in bringing in another selfish dickhead to replace one we are already trying to get rid of.

Making a judgement on a person's character based on a couple of mistakes is quite frankly fucking stupid.

If we were looking to add a bit of depth to our forwards the Titans have a couple still unsigned ( as far as I know) Sam Stone played a few games late last year and seemed to go okay. He played a part in the Tits late season burst. Thought he was solid. The other one is pretty young and the Tits rated him , Darius Farmer a young backrower. We've probably got enough though. I did think Stone was good enough to add depth.

If those mistakes were all white a while ago like Matt Lodge sure, you can easily convince someone you’ve changed or even that/those actions don’t define who you are but if you have repeated actions of stupidity up until 5 minutes ago, how can you not get a sense of where someone is at?

As you’ve been asked by others, how can you judge Vaughan as anything else right now?

Tyson Gamble has signed a two-year extension:

“It’s unreal to re-sign with the Broncos. I love the way the club is going, the direction that Kev is taking us and I’m looking forward to the future. It’s good to keep the young blokes around. It’s a good crew that we’ve got here at the moment and the longer we keep all of us together, the better we can go.”

“We’ve had a bit of a refresh mid-season and after that win against the Sharks, there’s no reason we can’t get a few more to finish off the season and we can then build into 2022.
