I don't think it is the "crimes" it's the personality, guys who love the beers and the boys are a double edged sword and in a young team you don't want your senior players to be the ring leader of shenanigans. The imbalance of youth here is the only reason not to sign him at the Broncos.

If Shane Flanagan likes Dufty that’s good enough reason for me to put a line through his name.Shane Flanagan has disputed that Matt Dufty is not coachable.
"Flanagan says he never found Dufty hard to coach. He was inquisitive and wanted to know why certain things were being asked of him, but not to the point of rebellion.
“He would ask a lot of questions,” Flanagan said.
“Sometime players don’t ask why, they just go and do it. I like the kid.”

He’s done a decent job & I think he’s shown improvement this year. He also covers fb, wing & centre. Every player in your roster can’t be a star, he’s a good depth signing.

Although I like what Carrigan brings and mindful that he's still very young I think he's a total pop gun as a front rower. I don't think he'll be much more than that until he's older, say 25-27. No offence intended and as I say, he's definitely a solid first grader. I'd much rather an older head like Kennedy partner Haas. Doesn't have to be Kennedy, just like having an older seasoned prop and would prefer two of them. That said I wouldn't like to see Haas go anywhere else.

Actually I'm wondering if Matt Dufty comments may have burned any chance playing Super League. Although I respect that he wants to challenge himself at the highest level which is NRL.
I also think he should be playing NRL and rectify some of the problems in his game. Its not like he's the only player in the NRL who has weaknesses. I mean for crying out loud Anthony Milford has stunk it for a couple years.

Dufty needs to have a club offer him a contract to play NRL ... and honestly that's not looking likely. every club who was interested in him, has gone cold on the idea ... there has to be a reason for that, and more than just his defensive issues

- we've been offered the services of number of Props since Lodges release (namely: James, Woods and Taupau)
- says we've been offered Taupau a number of times over the last few months but would struggle to afford him (currently on 800k a season)
- Nikorima won't be coming back to the club. Ikin has no interest in tabling him an offer. says he is happy with our halves/utility stocks for next season
