Ahhh Jamayne 'kick it out on the full multiple times in a game' Isaako off to the Dolphins.........probably for the best.

This.
Can’t wait for the first game of 2023.
Broncos v Dolphins with Isaako to open the game, kicking it out on the full.
It’ll be a momentous occasion in the clubs history.

Begs the question why they even bothered admitting them for next season then. They needed the extra year to get enough quality players

They should have announced it earlier imo to give them a better chance, but i reckon they will still out together a competitive team.

It’ll at least be entertaining. Imagine the goodwill they’ll win if Bennett drags a team of nobodies deep into the finals.

2024 will be the year the Dolphins really get some quality. Doesn't take a genius to work out their strategy seeing as there isn't that much quality around for 2023, especially seeing as they got the go ahead so late.
How is that going to work? Unless they sign a whole bunch of players on 1 year deals, or deliberately go way below the salary cap limits, they are going to have a full roster on multiyear deals next year.

Are you still allowed to front load contracts?

You can but you can only front load a certain percent. Also players can take the cash and push for a move later in the deal when on less money

Isucko can be an NRL quality winger, and I'm sure he came cheap. Was a signing that was always going to happen.
It's annoying they will sign a few of our players who will see out the year with us. Would prefer to offload Isaako to a club where we could get him off the books straight away. Same with Oates if he goes there too like I think he will

I think they do it by signing players in certain positions on one year deals where they think they can upgrade. Say they offer Berrell or Rein a chance for 2023 on a one year deal then target Grant for 2024. That sort of deal. They probably do it as well with some older players, somebody like Moose for example. They can still build a solid side with certain players on shorter deals. ITs going to be tricky for them to manage, but i reckon it can be done.

People knocking the dolphins should pull their head in. If we as a club don’t respect them there’s a very real possibility they could pull our pants down. Rag on them all you like, but pride comes before a fall. Even at this stage I’m going to respect them as a worthy enemy. It’s not like we have any bragging rights at the current moment.

I cant see them signing anyone of note from us tbh. It will only be players we have no use for.

They arent allowed to spend less than 95% of their cap for 2023

I see Isaako is leaving, probably ends up at Redcliffe, I look forward to the headlines

"Broncos star" "Major coup"

EDIT: Just visited foxsports.com.au, they're going with the "Broncos flyer" tag, apparently they poached him, you could look at it like that, I look at it like that club didn't plan to make a play for him and why would we? He's a winger at best. If we let Xavier Coates go without making a big play, I sure as hell wouldn't expect us to get into it regarding Jamayne Isaako.

Isaako is a good dude, I wish him well. I genuinely think Bennett will get the best out of him, some players like Isaako, just need a really simple role, and a coach who can make them believe in themselves. I don't think he was value to us but I think he'll be a decent signing for the phins.
