Nicoll-Klokstad anyone? Dropped to the bench by chair kicker this week, might be feeling a little disaffected. Only concern at the moment is his form isn't the best.

I don’t believe this.. how could anybody in their right mind accept that a club which has finished last, 14th & is 2 from 6 this season would be content with the status quo? Let alone a club with as much heat on it as the Broncos.
this is a smokescreen imo to keep the media at bay (similar play to extending Kevin Walters) and keep the playing group from getting any more stressed.
I’m aware of that and not saying there should be wholesale changes, just one or two at the ‘top end’ of the roster and at least a couple in the lower end.. If we did nothing more than add a Reece Walsh at the pointy end and turn over a couple of the journeymen forwards at the bottom end, that would be enough of a boost going forward into the next few years imo, given what we have in-house and in our development pipelineI'm okay with it actually.
There's no quick fix, Newcastle thought Ponga was their quick fix, one guy isn't the solution and given what we'd have to pay him.. he would have to be the solution.

Well it didn’t hurt. Knights had 3 spoons in a row before he signed and they’ve made the finals twice since.I'm okay with it actually.

Much like Edwards at Penrith, I don't see CNK working unless he has elite play makers in the halves. He doesn't create any points.Nicoll-Klokstad anyone? Dropped to the bench by chair kicker this week, might be feeling a little disaffected. Only concern at the moment is his form isn't the best.
Would anyone be willing to lose Haas for Walsh or Ponga?
I’m saying that we kind of have one though… I think we forget that. Our other half will always be serviceable. I think if we can make sure we get a hooker in place that runs, defends and most importantly has good service. Someone off the back of Reynolds like CNK for even just 1 or 2 years (Cobbo has a long way to go before he can play fullback week in week out). Reece Walsh is a pipe dream right now. Let alone KP (don’t want him) and Munster (really want him but won’t happen). The man played an instrumental role in Raiders making the GF. It was a change of scenery like that which caused that season. Could a move to Brisbane be what he needs to get back to that footy. I think it couldn’t hurt to give a phone call and see if he is interested.Much like Edwards at Penrith, I don't see CNK working unless he has elite play makers in the halves. He is better than our current options for sure, but if we are going to market he isn't the person to target.I’m saying that we kind of have one though… I think we forget that. I wouldn't be against going with the Roosters method of signing Ponga for however many years it is before the next target is available (2 years?) and just dumping him afterwards. He'd be a huge upgrade over any of our other fullbacks and then the Broncos can get rid of him if he isn't working out or there's another target available.I'm okay with it actually.

Consider we are paying 3.0m for our average starting pack (excluding hooker), we are probably 1m overs right there. Its why we cant and shouldn't pay 1.0 for Haas.
Tristan Sailor has signed with Souths Logan Magpies
I think when that happened wasnt it flagged by Smokin Joe or someone that the $1.3m package was also including an upgrade on his existing year, so it was basically $1.3m over 3yrsThe numbers thrown around for Flegler are nothing short of shameful:
