Look love that win but **** not a single part of me can celebrate like you blokes. Obviously we probably weren’t going to beat Melbourne or Cows in the origin period but we just got anally fucked by injuries that are gonna hurt us long past those 2 games. Really fucken annoys me and not much to celebrate in my opinion. Gutsy effort but I think it is clear that the team out their in the last 15 minutes would possibly get dicked on by a super league side.

Te Maire is a very close second for buy of the season for mine in terms of value for money. Reynolds obviously is number one but Martin just has such a calming demeanour to him and will be critical to our success in the coming weeks.
He's a very classy player.

Everything he does just oozes skill.......he never looks flustered.

Jeez mate...injuries are part of the game.

Might not be so bad come the middle of the week...?

After that press conference and the further injury revelations, this may be the greatest Bronco's win of all time. The problem being is that it may be the last one we see this season. It's going to be hard to overcome these major injuries with so many tough games coming up.

Yeah well I hate to break it to you mate but we were never a chance to win the comp anyway, realistic expectations were for us to finish in the 8.

Just enjoy the win, it was one of the great wins.

Thats the most couragous broncos win ive seen since round 1 1988.
8 players down with injury before or during.
Billy walters played as good as his old man at his best whilst carrigan was super human.
I dont fancy facing melbourne with the toll tonight but if anyone can get this team the self-belief needed to do it, its kevie.
I just really hope reynolds makes it.

The opposite is that the Broncos could have suffered all those injuries and lost it.

It's not like they can see into the future and declare they're not going to field a team. It was a great win under any circumstances and it's something the club can pride itself on.

A bit defeatist.

Any team that can win 7 in a row during the season has a shot for sure, Herbie is the only player that seems to be a goner, more bad luck aside we will get our best team back eventually.

We've got Origin to deal with as well don't forget. The injuries today may not be the last.

Injuries are apart of the game but we just got so fucked almost beyond repair on the injury front in one half of footy. I cant see too much good coming out of the middle of the week. Haas, Staggs, REYNOLDS, TMM, Paix will all be battling injuries for the next month whilst we just lost Herbie for realistically the rest of the regular season at best. Considering we all consider Paix the proper 9 in the team 3/4 of our spine are injured with only a genuine back up in one of those positions available. Our strike centre pairing that could come close to being deemed as the best in the comp. And whilst we hate the **** any team that loses Payne Haas is always going to feel the effects. I possibly couldn’t have named a more important contingent of players for the way our side plays. This team then goes through this next month inevitably getting toweled up next week, no good will come of the cowboys and going into 2 easy beat games you can’t lose if you want to be up the ladder in dragons and titans. I’d love if none of those injuries are as serious as we’d like but we just got sucked by 6 injuries to key players in one round of footy. That’s fucked. As such whilst the win in such conditions is amazing I can’t celebrate looking at the bigger picture.

Don’t like being the glass half empty bloke but we got some really shit footy we are about to dish up over the next month that can be very hard to replicate this form afterwards. The season wraps up quicker than you expect and for mine these next 2 games were critical to have full strength as really they are finals footy type games we will have next to No experience playing in come finals.

Trying to find a positive in that the next two games are going to be tough whether we are full strength or not.
If we are to be decimated with injuries I'd rather it be against Storm and Cowboys and lose than face the dogs/tigers and lose.

It’s not about winning the comp it’s about performing well. No one other than Penrith or Melbourne are winning the comp this year that has been the case for the last 3 seasons. Not the point at all, this team worked their ass off for 7 weeks and really most of that will be negated cause of 6-7 injuries we have picked up in the last 3-4 days. For mine that really hurts when those blokes have done the hard yards and put in for us fans who have been deprived for a couple years. They deserve to be winning. Sadly for them they are going to go out their next week get wiped by Melbourne and all the ignorant fans in this competition are gonna shout from every inch of the globe how we are pretenders and shit house. For mine it was imperative we compete with the Storm and cowboys in the next 2 rounds regardless of how long shot winning was. They worked those 7 games to win to be held in the same breath as Melbourne and the Cows, sadly they don’t get to prove that. Has nothing to do with winning a comp or not it has to do with the fact that those boys lost a **** ton more than what they gained out of 2 points

Herbie just lost his World Cup spot, probably his fullback aspirations, his form

Haas is likely going to miss Origin 2.

Ezra is absolutely fucked at developing now.

The whole lot of them just lost the positives of the form they worked so hard for.

We lost a lot more than we won this round and as such I find it very hard to put a smile on my face. Got nothing to do with winning a premiership.

I think it's more than Herbie mate, it's been a fantastic turn around but we all knew any sort of injuries to any key players would make things extremely difficult.

We can cop injuries to forwards and probably outside backs but once we start getting stuck into our halves (Reynolds and Gamble), it makes it difficult because now the option is probably to have Walters in the halves and Turpin comes back into the side, which instantly makes us less of a threat. Paix also has some sort of a knee injury, apparently.

The other side to this is that the hardships draw the team closer to each other. They will become much more tightknit from their struggles
