NRL Players and family members in hot water

Some pommy snots another pommy in some pommy bar. Too far from home for me to care.

I’ve just seen headlines and that (but) Victor is a good guy, I don’t think he would start something if he didn’t need to,” Manu said.

International Rugby League have wiped their hands of the Radley situation saying it's a matter for the RFL (England), NRL and Ireland Rugby League to handle.

International Rugby League boss Troy Grant says:

“There’s an investigation underway to uncover all the facts of the matter which I don’t have at hand,” Grant said.

“Any misbehaviour and anything that reflects poorly on our sport, particular during a time of celebration over here is definitely disappointing.

“Now it’s a matter for the England Rugby League, the NRL and the Ireland Rugby League to sort out.”

Asked whether he was aware of what had happened, Grant said: “The facts that I’m aware of is that an invitation was extended to the Irish player who came into the English camp and team environment.

“I’m not sure how many remained with the English camp or who had moved back to their homes, but something has occurred.

“All players will get a chance to state their case, tell their stories to the appropriate authorities they report to.

“The NRL in relation to Victor will make a determination. The England Rugby League will make a determination as well and the Irish Rugby League will have to make a determination to their player.

There’s no disciplinary action available to us in this circumstance, nor are we looking to proceed with any investigation. The matter is in the hands of the other authorities.

“The NRL have been in contact. The NRL have been provided with what facts are known. They’ve been in contact, as I understand, with the English Rugby League.“

So one of two things will happen:
1. The NRL will hope everyone forgets about it and come out in January and say everything is all good and hope no one even notices
2. The NRL will give him a backdated suspension so he misses no NRL games...in the interests of the fans of course

Been a quiet off season for the Broncs.... no Bali trips this year? Off loaded most of the problems to other clubs?

It's alleged by him that he only spoke about performing sexual acts to underage boys to score drugs.

He alleged that he was addicted to cocaine, talked about going on 5 day benders, and all of the dealers on his phone didn't have any supply due to COVID being rampant at the time, but one of his dealers told him he could score drugs on a shady gay sex chat room. He went in there and saw they were the types interested in little boys and started talking about performing sexual acts on boys to strike up enough of a friendship with one of the people in the chat room to score cocaine.

Apparently when one of them responded with similar messages, he felt disgusted and stopped it then and there.

Whether that's bullshit or not, who knows? That's just what he is saying is the real story. Even if it is true, it's a pretty shit excuse. I know that when addicts are desperate, their moral compass goes right out the window and they would do anything for a fix, but what he is saying is a bit extreme. That's just too far.

I at least buy the addicted to drugs part of the story. Watching him on Matty Johns podcast etc, he was quite erratic. He was showing all of the signs of an addict.
That’s bullshit.
