Cobbo: “I think he’s a nice guy but not a good coach”

How long does Kebbie have to prove he's more than just a good friend?

did anyone actually listen to the whole podcast?

because I'm wondering what tomorrow's bombshell will be, given the media are drip feeding these to keep the story going as long as possible

I tried to listen to it, lasted a minute, the laughing was too much, plus I couldn't understand a word, also it went for 1hr 27 min

yeah, from the tiny bit I saw, I thought the host was almost as incoherent as Cobbo

He was hot air, masquerading as someone who knew what he was talking about.

I was all for Kev coming here for the “culture” but I’m not seeing improvements.
I'd argue that there has been improvements just not enough to keep most happy, I'm happy to see how we go this year .
it's easy to pick things to pieces after our slide and when all the drama hits , but really it's all about results and it's hard to get them when you're not playing.

that's cause even the media new what sort of shit show he was up against , now he's got his fingerprint on the team he can be judged accordingly.
seriously though what sort of idiot would be so judgemental of a coach after half a season of dealing with our rabble ?
A correct idiot I guess? Because everything I said was an issue 6 months into him coaching at the broncos continues to be an issue 2 years in.

And that isn’t even taking into account this wasn’t his first coaching gig.

Kevie has earned a shot at 2023. Period. Can hate him after the season if he fails, but this is the bed lets lie in it without sulking.
I don't think anyone hates him. I loved Kevvie when I was a kid, but I found it quite obvious pretty early he isn't a coach, he could get away with being a Meninga like coach. He missed out on every job he went for, he failed overseas, and is failing with the club now. He's just not a good coach, and is a weirdo.

No eyebrows. Weird.

that wasn't solely directed at you if you took it that way .
i agree Kevvie has plenty of work to do but he turned things around since the Seibold mess , and yes we slid at pointy end but that all can't be blamed on Kevvie and he deserves to get a chance to right that.

Oh I’m on team, mid season!

Selwyns take on playing fullback.
He thinks playing wing is hard because the fitness, yet wants to be fullback.
Also reckons Walsh is playing in the halves.
Seems to think he's actually got a good shot at being the first choice 1 after this podcast.

The bloke asking the questions there, fair dinkum

Selwyn answers the question with his typical "yeah's", whatever we're used to that.. old mate who is clearly from NZ "that's right because he's coming aye", in some sort of a sudden shocked tone of voice in response to Selwyn suggesting there will be competition with Walshy

It's not like he was the best player in the Warriors side or anything, any flog can host a podcast it seems

its not up to the fans

Of course it's not and I am very happy about that, the Broncos fan base suffers from emotional dysregulation with how the fans process negative information about the club but as someone who frequents this forum (obviously), the knives will be out before the end of the season if we aren't pushing for a top 4 spot during the season

Cobbo basically showing at the moment he is a bit of a quitter. You dont sneak out and not support your team mates beacause they are getting flogged. He's just unprofessional. at the moment and he needs to be made an example of. He isnt going to be popular in the playing group no matter what the media statements will tell us. If they didnt like what Payne did, they arent going to like this either.
Only one way to sort cobbo out then, he needs to be booed at suncorp stadium every time he gets the ball. He’d probably walk out though haha.
