I have to say, that I like the changes they've made to the pre-game at the ground, especially how they introduced the team.

but why on earth would they stop playing "let's go Broncos" when we ran out. they instead played "Horses" from Daryl Braithwaite

Well that must be one of the best debut games by a Broncos player ever, well done Reece Walsh. Seriously impressed with your performance. Although a great win, I thought our offence was really clunky at times, putting aside some great tries, our forwards don't appear as cohesive as I would like. It was a wet humid night for sure, but I think there is plenty of work to be done there, perhaps in rotation? Arey you can't have off nights mate, we need to chase down every point. Seriously we will never ever win a comp if we have the obvious bias from that absolute C**** like Klien reffing our games. The Cowgirls grub work was there for all to see. What part of direct contact to the head by TWO defenders on Corey Oates plus Hiku's shit didn't the ref and the Bunker see, but an innocuous tackle by Tapau gets put immediately on report. The Broncos should be blowing up royally, over this shit. Going forward consistency is our key to good performances ,but what a great way to start the season . Lets Go Broncos, and suck on that cowgirls.

I actually think 42k is a very disapointing crowd for a game like this. Going back to football, I couldn't image a similar game like Liverpool vs United or the Glasgow derby not being a sell-out no matter what the conditions.

The UK does have a population close to three times ours, and much more densely packed around city centers and regionally as well. That would help, you'd think.

I think Mariner had some big shoes to fill in Herbie. I don't want to jump on the staggs hatewagon just yet. He's a confidence player and I think it will come. I remember we were all loving him at the start of last season before his injury at origin. I'll give the lad a chance to find his wreckingball form. How good is it to have herbie signed for this year on peanuts when really he is an 800k+ year centre
I hope the club offers Staggs 300k when it comes time to re-sign him. He’s been on the cusp of being dropped, on form, for ages and his current salary has cost us Herbie and/or a shot at Fifi.

To me he looked like a young Billy Slater. That instant acceleration that we haven't had for such a long time at fullback
Agreed from an athletic POV. Walsh is far more talented as a play maker than Slater ever was tho. The kid has all the ingredients he needs to be a gun, he just need to put it together consistently.

by the way, can i just say that was an epic dive from Walsh when he scored his try.

I Dont Ron Burgundy GIF

He put in one good kick and chased it well. He was rubbish
He picked his dummy half runs quite well when we were getting held in our own half and did all of the shit you guys have begged for from Paix, he kicked early and got us to the other end, he defended well, his service was fine.

Paix does **** all and gets away with it every week. I swear some of you blokes don't have a clue. He's not the best hooker out there but to call his game rubbish last night is absolutely wrong in every single way.

The negative views on here about Staggs are a bit over the top. His defence was excellent and he was error free. You can't compare him to the other side of the field where all our attacking flare went.

Herbie is good but come on a huge percentage of this place bagged the hell out of him until the media started lighting him up. He will be a huge loss but it has nothing to do with Staggs who signed two years ago. Herbie could have signed for more years but wanted to prove himself and get his preference in position and more money. He has left on his own accord. He will never be as good a fullback as Walsh period.

I have no issue with Staggs, my opinion is stop listening to Fox talking points and understand that a centre does not determine how much pill he gets and I don't need him doing hit ups every set just to get Ennis/Parker of his back. He completely busted Holmes with strong defence by the end of that game, give him some credit that he may be doing exactly what the coach and team need from him.

Funny, I would make the exact same post but swap the players around.

He looks lost whenever he runs it. Always looks in 2 minds. Runs into his own palyers. Breaks down the attack.

If you watched last night and thought he was better than Paix then there really is no point discussing it further because we are just too far from ever agreeing.

We have Adam Reynolds, Mam, and Walsh in the spine. The games best metre maker in Haas in the forwards, and some of the best outside backs in the comp. We don’t need Walters slow directionless scoots from dummy half, just get the ball to the more talented players as quickly as possible. This is why Paix is so much better. He’s an average talent too but he’s self aware enough to do his job and shovel the ball on as quick as possible.

If you really want to see Walters flaws at their best, watch his dummy half work inside the opposition 20m. Revolting

The runs happen when we were stuck in our own half and the other three weren't helping with that at the time.. What does Paix do that's any better than Walters?
