Q-CUP Queensland Cup 2023

Souths play the ball to the right of the posts, Mozer at dummy half, both markers on the same side and he runs the left of the play the ball- dummies to Te Kura and goes over under the posts- first HPC try with two BH on him and ran about 15m.

Good hookers try, Payne will be livid watching a hooker do that five minutes in.

Te Kura off after 15 minutes, normally he'd do 25 when he starts.

Te Kura skittles them with the best run ever and on the back of that Souths score.

Poor little Jack Bourke flew backwards.

I say it every week but if Te Kura is standing behind the ruck looking bored he's about to get the ball.

Eggerling turns him under and he scores- He's fired up today.

Last two games Te Kura has started and Hunt has given him 25 then back for 15 at the end. He started with 15 today and it seems to have given him a better second stint.

I'd have to imagine the Broncos have Te Kura locked up till 2024. I just wonder if they're keeping their powder dry for the rep period before they announce a new deal because he'd have to be looking at some NRL time this year.

I'd love to see an announcement around Round 11 that he's been locked up till 2026 and he's named in the reserves.

200% agree. You can see the sky is the limit with this kid. He could be our NAS, I hope we lock him up soon because I also think he’ll debut this year.

It's starting to sound like he's the better prospect out of him and Willison.

After losing Flegler and possible losing Haas, we surely need to make sure the future prospects are locked down with pathways to first grade opening up

It's one thing running 8m to score a try, but he doesn't do the things a front row would need to do in the NRL.

He's going well but he's a long way from NRL.

Should say his defence is stronger than his running game, he defends like a demon which I have always marvelled at but his running the ball needs work.

I haven’t watched south’s in cup this year in what ways does it need work? Are his hit ups just weak or he just runs it up a bit directionlessly

I agree but I always like easing prop forwards in and gradually getting their games up per season. Even if it was just one game in 2023, it just makes the transition easier.

Willison great run and carries Pride with him and Horne then scores.

His improvement from Meninga/Colts last year has been massive. But he still wanders around a lot in attack and relies on Bayliss to do a lot of the carries that aren't too much fun. That turn me under I am the big kid play is fun but he needs more than that. He had a really tough run today and a really good run against the Dolphins but he's just starting to learn how to use his body.

I just think about the Dolphins game last season. Against the Bears and Dolphins Timms and Lui just cut a path of destruction through him and he had to go back to Colts. That's only six games ago.

He's starting the last three weeks and I think Hunt has found the secret sauce today with 15 minutes and then 25.

Mariner try- off the scrum just too quick and strong for the Capras.
