I think we can win this, the Cowboys will be keen to start fast as usual and try to blow us a away early, if we can absorb the early assault and then bash them back like we did against the Roosters we can come home stronger.

In attack we need to pressure Drinkwater, most of their points seems to come from him. The only other is Deardon running across the field looking for a gap to run into.

Lol just rest Reynolds then. I just don't want him to get hurt.
Reyno, Haas and Patty... and maybe Reece

Haas and Patty, because you don't want to risk a suspension or injury to two guys that are vital to our performances.

Reece could probably play without rest, but you could leave him out just to avoid possible injury

Just do what we did to Keary, get in Dearden's face all night.
Drinkwater is the key... shut him down and you shut down cows offence... issue is their forward pack can get on a roll and it's hard to shut anyone down off the back foot.

Expect Lolo to play increased minutes as well ... like he tends to do vs broncos

Our pack is every bit as good as theirs is now, we don't need to fear.

I think our entire squad has a decent back up ready if they should be injured/suspended.... except Reynolds.

Rhythm and confidence is everything in sport.

We have a bye coming up to rest everyone.

Play your best team at every possible moment and smash them all.

Go the mighty Broncos!

Old saying ; A ship is safe in the harbour . But , that`s not what ships were built for .

I wouldn't rest anybody. Injury can happen at any time, even on the training field. Or are we suggesting we wrap reyno in cotton wool and he comes into finals with no fitness?

I don’t see an issue with resting him in the last round if a top 4 spot is tied up. Im sure he won’t lose match fitness by having a week off - he’ll likely come back fresher with less niggling issues. While I wouldn’t rest Haas or Patty, I would max their minutes out at 30-35 minutes each. Probably pull Walsh as soon as the game was out of reach one way or another

Agree, although there has to be a lower injury/play with injury threshold if we don't need to win

More like if you get a traffic infringement notice .
You pay the fine . Or go to court . If you lose in court you pay the fine , plus court fees .
Exactly, there is no discount for paying the TIN early... It's not a rates or electricity bill.

The Broncos’ defence was obviously a major issue this time last year, too much ground being made by the other team and too many offloads meant repeated efforts and losing battles. Pre-contact metres are used by teams to give some sort of metric to line speed- validates the eye test.

The Broncos against the Roosters were great in getting up and stopping the Roosters. The Roosters were only going 5.51 metres before contact. Broncos were going 6.05 metres before contact. Which may not sound like much it’s only 54cm.

But 54cm over 186 hit ups is just over 100m the Broncos took off the Roosters.

Now compare that to 12 months ago to the round against the Storm. Storm was going 7.13m before contact and Broncos 6.13m. That metre meant 189m of ground for the Storm and a huge win.

If you win pre-contact metres you win the game.

Do they factor in how far each team is kept back?
