Walker ain’t it…. We have two of the spine who currently play eyes up footy, we don’t need a third, it would be an even bigger disaster than what it became this year. Trying to score off every play….
Black has the skills we need. He needs time to develop though. And if he plays first grade in 2025, it needs to be next to Reynolds, not Mam, which is hard.
Kick, pass, make your tackles. Perfectly. That is all he needs to do, and can do.
We don’t need Walker. We can’t afford Walker. We need to develop Black, and be patient.

I would be keen and at worst, he can play 9. Who cares if he doesn't want to once he is signed.

While i agree with you @Smokin' Joe , i think Walker would be a much better option than Mam. I just think he's got a bit more about him in some ways, and i think in 4 or 5 years he will probably develop into a better 7 than he is now.
You are right though. we simply cant afford him.

Our halves juggling act is just that, quite the juggling act.
Ezra's knees/legs worry me at his age.
I'm not convinced regarding Sam Walker, and certainly don't want him for 10 years at a million per.
What about Daniel Atkinson? Brisbane boy and only 23. $5-600k x 3 might be enough to pry him out of the Sharks.
If the Sharks let him go, he would be a great backup 6 or 7 immediately. And I'm of the thought he would play pretty much every game with one of Reyno or Mam out most of the time. Madden is not the guy, and neither is Rogers.
If the Sharks hold him for another year, when he arrives Black is still only 19 and can continue to season. If Black ends up being a wonderkid, Atkinson can become our Connor Watson.

Not a fan of Billy W, he was rubbish to finish the season. If you persist Kevvie, it might cost you your job at some point soon. I'd be happy for him to play the first 20 mins only in 2025, as long as Mozer plays the last 60 mins. From the 20 min mark, Billy becomes our utility 14. Paix has been mismanaged deluxe due to the coach favoring his son.
Kevvie is on a short leash moving forward if I was god and master of the universe.
I'm not breaking the bank for either Cobbo or Staggs. We had 3 top centers (not that we knew Cobbo was a center at the time) and let the best one go. Happy for Cobbo and his lackadaisical attitude to become a chook. No big payrise for Staggs, and no long extension. Not convinced he will be durable moving forward.

On Atkinson, one of him or Trindall are going to be the 6 moving forward and with Trindalls finals form there's talk of him getting a extension and a big pay bump. He's only 25 so the Sharks will have to go all in on one of them you would think.
