Arthars was gifting him carries last night, rather than take the hit-ups himself. Nothing wrong with that. He's the bigger body who's better at breaking tackles. Not that he did much of that.
 
I think Selwyn is happy to have achieved his goal:

he played for the Brisbane Broncos.

Anything else is just a bonus or lucky circumstance, because he just won’t put in the effort it seems.

It could depend how many days off he takes and how loose Wayne will be with him.

Kevvie gave him a lot of rope and he didn't look all that fit under him... Madge had him fit through preseason, but he looks like he's stacked it on since.

If he balloons in weight he loses everything that makes him a great player.

Do agree that we will never hear the end of it, if he does literally anything good... even if it's what's best for all parties

Then don't hear it. What works for Souffs may not work for us, it's something that cannot be helped. We don't have a "senior mentor" like indigenous player in our current 17 to keep his head screwed on. If Cobbo had come in during the Hodges era, he would be flourishing.
