Interesting that Badel, who is no friend of the Broncos, has a story out laying out some of Cobbo’s issues such as sleeping in and missing training, staying up late gaming before big games and texting other players at three am, etc. He also mentions weight issues.

Yeah anyone who is trying to spin this into the Broncos are wrong for this are just morons and aren’t worth listening to.
Thinking Cobbo is a good player is a completely different conversation and you are entitled to that opinion but how anyone can think you can offer more than 300k for a bloke who lacks professionalism, only rocks up for the first 10 rounds every single year, can’t maintain a reasonable weight for more than a fortnight and isn’t actually that good at footy on a regular basis is beyond me.
Players like Selwyn in the salary cap era do not and should not get 600+ thousand and expect to win.
He is harmless and a seemingly very nice player and genuinely wish him well at the Dolphins but he has a lot to figure out and fast if he wants to play professional footy for much longer. I fear for Selwyn the most important one of those things is whether he actually wants to play Rugby League.

Dobbo has lost his inside source because he's sitting next to him doing a 30min podcast every week.
The only supporters seem to be former NSW players because they saw what he did last year, but they arent the ones writing in the media and creating ragebait... them and the Channel 9 side of news.

**** the media who would want them as friends. about time our club grows some steel and balls. players and coaches need to harden up and have a chip on there shoulder. this is were wayne still is king. he does not give two pisses what the media write about him he uses it to fuel his side he has done it his whole career.
players and coaches need to understand you will be beat from pillar to post when you play or coach for the broncos. its just part of how it is. use it to become defiant not meek and give up at first sign of problems.
same for some of us fans. no one likes us but us. **** the rest and stick together and stop sooking about media not writing us favourable articles

So I wonder if there are any more signings to come out. Donuts said we would have a lot over the next couple of weeks and we have. I wonder if anything else is in the pipeline. I would assume we’ll re-sign Jensen but not sure about anyone else who is off contract. The big fish have already been retained or let go.

Wayne doesnt give two pisses for the media, but still has the Nepo baby doing all the talking for him... so he clearly knows the value that is needed by them.
Crawley was running protection for him this week about Wayne not wanting the PNG job, because Wayne is too chicken shit to talk about it himself and potentially impact his brand

I think Jensen is the last one that I can think of.
Paix and Kobe likely out the door, unless Kobe is happy to be a bench forward on a moderate wage.
Means we still have spots to fill... some of those will be young guys coming off dev deals, but still some spots to fill.
Still some guys like Madden that we probably want to release too

Wayne used to do that. He’d always have a tame journo who would get direct scoops in exchange for stories Wayne wanted told.

I think it was flagged at the start of the year that he was bumped up to a dev deal and then a top 30 next year... but can't recall if there was anything official

I don't know him, but I get the sense he actually loves playing the game. He just doesn't like the other 'stuff' he has to do as an elite athlete e.g training, diet, sleep, media, fame.
