Laffranchi was some form of head of football style role so technically a demotion. Most Titans fans want him gone as he’s been around those roles for something like 7-10 years and we’re not seeing much but guess we shall see going forward. Wasn’t sold on Hannay personally but hopefully he has what it takes. Support staff appointments should be interesting to watch.

I thought he might've been... can recall someone mentioning that he was on the sideline blowing up when panthers trainer ran past JC.. and then saw that he was in dress clothes... so I think that's basically a team manager role... ie the guy who does the day to day logistics, etc.

Seems an odd choice to be heading up the R&R... you'd want someone that has been ingrained in the pathways and R&R to begin with otherwise he's having to get up to speed with a lot

Yeah but on a more serious note, Reece Walsh was allegedly spotted drinking an OAT MILK flat white. Very VERY disrepectful to the poor out of sorts cowboys

I found it interesting how everyone downplayed it though.

I don't know how "policing" works as such, but surely you arent just doing a routine patrol of gold coast airport and see Smith and look at eachother and say "hey its Brandon Smith, let's take this opportunity to randomly question him".

Surely it was a case of an open investigation underway and someone with half a brain in the force realised he'd be in town for footy that weekend and they planned to get him at the airport for questioning? And if they're going to that effort it was always going to he something at least half serious.

I think had Smith not have missed the last 12 months with injury and was more relevant at the moment they would have made a bigger deal over the gold coast questioning.

I think the reporting suggested the questioning was in relation to someone he knew... maybe it was on the surface but police had alternative motives with the questioning.

Or maybe Smith lied to the integrity unit 🤔

Not sure they can just call up the police and ask them what they were talking to him about
 
Come out just now that Penrith are apparently resting bulk players this week vs dogs. Including Nathan..
