Courier Mail confirmed we have won race for Bartlett
3rd year prob has options for both club and player. Either via agreement or $ figures for either party to extend.I believe it’s $800k a season for two years, with a third year in Barnett’s favour.
The $800k over two years is justifiable, though it does feel a bit panicky without seeing him play since the ACL. Why couldn’t we wait a few weeks?
The third year is absolutely atrocious if it’s in his favour. He’d be essentially 35.

That's what I'm thinking at some point. Can we possibly get him this year?
Wrong right now to think these young guys are ready to step up and replace Haas's workload just yet.
Our biggest "what if".....on what I've seen with my own eyes, hes not ready to replace Haas anytime soon.Your thoughts on Ben Te Kura would be appreciated......
You don’t need to replace haasHe's not replacing Haas, nobody is. The player to replace Payne Haas doesn't exist.
He's a hard working forward who by all reports sets a high standard, probably as good a replacement as we can hope for.
Is it that they are itching for Verhoeven and we've told them absolutely ****ing not - and nothing will be announced until Wahs are happy with a swap? Otherwise it all just falls over because we won't swap them anyone, or anyone offered doesn't want to go to NZ?The only thing that worries me, this deal was meant to be reported last Sunday. I hope he is invested in the Broncos.
