Speculation is rife that Ikin could take up a role with the Perth Bears because of his playing history - he had four seasons with North Sydney between 1996-99 - but it’s understood the 49-year-old will not join the NRL’s 18th franchise.

Well-placed sources say Ikin could leave the rugby league industry altogether to explore fresh opportunities in other corporate sectors.

Townsville's spine are all future Cowboys, Mesritz, Walker and Lateo all run beautifully and give great service.

Last time they played Wynnum flogged Townsville, they are the minor premiers and don't have to travel. I am going Wynnum with Wallin MOTM.
