I think it's a fair assessment.

Raiders can be pretty hard to handle once they are going forward. Plenty of points in them.
That said, I think defence and discipline are on our side. If we can handle them early, I do see them getting impatient, pushing passed, and making costly errors.

Biggest factor IMO will be handling their prop rotation. Gillett and Co need to shut down Paulo and Boyd.
 
I think we need Gillett to focus on taking care of Papalii.

As well, we ought to make Hodgson tackle until he drops. For mine, Hodgson is the key to their attack and we need to run at him all night.
 
I'm also not really sure where this Raiders having small motors in the forwards is coming from either. They can all/most of them go hard for a long time and they have so many of them it doesn't matter anyway.

I'm not sold on Moga. He's given us some strong carries but that's about the extent of it. Outside of catching a couple of high balls we may as well have Vidot out there.

Also has shown some poor discipline and lack of commitment (giving up on the play when he fumbled against the Cowboys, could have cost us).

Open to giving him some more time but I haven't seen anything to suggest he's our best option long term.

I agree with the Vidot comparison as both are really nothing more than ISC calibre. But unlike Vidot, Moga is a little younger and has room for improvement (which is also unlike Vidot.)
 
Absolutely foaming for this game, hope we turn up...

Celebrating my 30th with a thousand beers and a win would be just about perfect.


Sidenote, its also our lord and saviour Darren Lockyer's birthday today (40th) --- if they dont get the win for me hopefully they do it for him ha

It has just been pissing down for a good half hour. Suncorp has great drainage, but I can see it being a sloppy affair after all the rain we've had this week.
 
I have a feeling there will be a lot of dropped ball. So if we defend as well as last week, I'd be tipping us.
