Penrith are apparently going to announce this afternoon that Gould is parting ways with the club.
Wonder if he'd be interested in a position with the Broncos.
It was on the news last night. Gould gornnnnnnnne. Sacked because he was being paid a fortune for nothing. Produced absolutely nothing but empty words.

Not sacked according to the club, but agreed to terminate his contract early.

Strong reports he already has another deal done with an NRL club.

Personally, i would like to see him take up a position somewhere within the NRL.

It's clearly a pub holiday tomorrow. So many on here hitting the piss like it's a Fridy night.
You of all people @Huge.... Mr "substantiate your comments with fact"

Mmm, not sure what you're on about here. I'm not drinking, seldom do these days. I don't get public holidays as I'm a fifo worker and presently home on my two week break.

It's my opinion that Gould is a great talker, lot's of apparently wise words but no substance. The evidence of his failure is in Penrith's performances. He may have done wonders for Penrith but it looks like Penrith don't think he has so...

Panthers club was an absolute shitshow from top to bottom when he arrived. Look at them now... administration, pathways, juniors, roster & future.
Other than that, please substantiate your claims....

1. Sacked.
2. Produced absolutely nothing.
3. Being paid a fortune.

You do this kind of calling others out on what they say shit often mate.
It's your turn.

Show me the quotes, show me the proof in relation to you comments.

Bird has been a massive let down so far. Even this season he's been bombing tries and defending like shit.

I agree. He is trying hard and the effort is there but expect more from what he has showed so far.

I thought he was one of our best in the first few games but hasn’t played well recently.

Bird has been good, but when you rush up out of the line on every play it becomes predictable. He played great against the Tigs imo, not so much the Raiders. No need to rush out of the line every single time.

I can't question his effort at all, he is clearly putting in. His hands have left him down at crucial times and he is tending to run sideways a little too much for my liking.

I like when Bird runs sideways. I think we already play too direct. The problem is that once Plan A breaks down, everybody thinks their job is done and nobody offers the ball carrier any help. Most of them won't even get out of the defensive line to eliminate the obstruction call. We've supported Bird's sideways running approximately once this year and we scored a try from it. Hodges used to run sideways a lot when we were behind. I wouldn't be surprised if lateral motion translates from sign language as "Do something you lazy pricks, we're losing".

Close eyes are being kept on James Roberts’ situation at Brisbane.
Word is the relationship between Roberts and coach Anthony Seibold is less than ideal. Roberts does not share the same relationship with Seibold as he did with the previous coach Wayne Bennett and Roberts’ recent drunken episode is another black mark as far as Seibold is concerned.
This all dovetails into Bennett’s move to South Sydney over the summer and Greg Inglis’s shock retirement less than a fortnight ago.
Asked if there was any movement to replace Inglis, Bennett replied: “Very quiet.”
Asked if he was looking, he said: “Not too hard.”
