Ahh good these are my favourite topics - Michael Morgan is overrated, critiquing the Cowboys awful roster and questioning their cap management.

MM had that magical '17 run and never sniffed it since. The Cowboys paid him $1m and that deal is as bad as Milford's paycheque but it doesn't cop the flack because they don't cop the same scrutiny.

Their only good forward is Lolo. Mclean went up there to Hunt, McGuire has fallen off a cliff and is a terrible ruck defender, Gavin Cooper is a plodder, Coen Hess is a truly terrible player and the rest are worse.

They won't sign Latrell, that was just hyperbole from yours truly. But they have spent their money in the wrong places. And seemingly given up on Clifford, who could well be a very good NRL halfback (and better than B Croft...)

Spare me that Croft is a genuine halfback. We don't just need a halfback, we need a good one. Brodie Croft is not a good one. But we will see.

firstly, they won't get both, especially since they both want to play fullback. The Cowboys were using Mitchell to force Holmes' hand and as a backup plan in case their bid for Holmes failed.

secondly, it's about priorities ... they require strike in the backline, hence them chasing either Holmes or Mitchell ... while we require a genuine halfback, hence us chasing Croft

Jason, I must step in here as I believe you are being more than a little unreasonable in your criticism of a well-respected BHQ member. In my many dealings with McHunt, I have found him to be a very fair, well-balanced and highly impartial and respectful subscriber in the vast majority of his postings.

I actually believe you may have confused him with another member possibly and an apology should be forthcoming to McHunt on your behalf.

Thanks for the compliments, though I actually don't mind being called a troll. It's like being given the benefit of the doubt for what is in reality having a batshit crazy opinion.

While, we're dishing out defence, I think @broncsgoat is entitled to his steadfast opinion on Bennett vs Seibold. Which to be frank, stands up better to scrutiny than the rest of our vacillating views. I don't think anyone on this forum is convinced by Seibs yet. The best we've got is giving him the benefit of the doubt. Pretty sure there are plenty of Souths fans who are right on board the Bennett train already, despite a less than convincing first season. Advantage Bennett.
