1: Thin the players down, some of them don't look match fit and it's affected their game and agility
2: Bring in a new attacking plan
3: Have a military style 36-48 hour camp at Canungra or the Glass House mountains. Some of the guys seem to have lost confidence and each other and a camp will be a great asset. A weekly bonding session on a weekday night, go out to a movie, dinner etc
4: Make Parker captain, Thiaday isn't captaincy material IMO
5: Get the players to know no-one fears or rates the Broncos anymore and how it's up to them to turn it around
6: Make the off-season as enjoyable as possible, make the players turn up with a big smile on their face with a confident attitude.
1. I like this one. It isn't even just fitness, I think some of the guys look too bulky. extra muscle isn't always a good thing, there is a balance and I think some players have passed it
2. This is one i'd like but what would this new 'attacking plan' actually be?
would you have us playing deeper/flatter, how would it work etc. Do you try getting our forwards to spread the ball for our bakcs (like the Dogs), do we simplify the game and grind up the field (a la Bennett) or do we try to take advantage of the offloading of Parker/Gillett etc and play a high risk/reward game like the Warriors often do?
Our attack desperately needs to change but i feel like some of the talk is just empty. There needs to be improvements in the coaching/strategies but that is far easier said than done. part of our problem is strategy but I also feel like the quality of some of our key position players is holding us back
4. What do you do if Parker isn't willing to take the captaincy? i've heard rumours to that effect before. A reluctant captain could be as bad as a poor quality captain.
