2018 NRL Side

Though look how quickly Bennett brought TPJ into our regular nrl side. He came up played only a handful of 20’s then only a handful of reserve’s then bang straight into our Nrl. Bennett may do the same with Haas.

TPJ Played a handful of lower grade games only for us ... played plenty more lower grade for both the Knights and the Raiders.

and in his first season with us, when he did get on the bench was only averaging 5-10 mins a game

I think a sydney club is going to throw big dollars at TPJ and a starting position ( maybe Souths ) and he wont be able to refuse the money or the game time.

Like the Roosters did with JNIK....

Oh wait....

I have a very bad feeling we will lose 1 or 2 of Oates, tpj and/or Sua this year. For mine, Sua, despite great potential is the one with the least upside. Especially with Fifita coming through and Oates' possible transition. Tpj is a must keep but I also feel he will get an absurd offer thrown at him, although he did quit the safeness of Canberra to play under Bennett and he seems to love the Brisbane lifestyle by the looks of it so we may have an ace or 2 up our sleeves

We really need these developed juniors to stay. No good to keep waiting for another potential star to develop only to leave eventually as well. Seems to be a vicious cycle that happens to the broncos

Su'A will be the one to go.

All of this talk about how much promise he has and how ready he is for the NRL and yet he can't get any game time unless it's during the Origin period?

Nah, he isn't going anywhere at the Broncos. Some other club will swoop in, and he'll go.

Whilst I have a bad feeling I'm not that worried if we lose a few here and there. We will have to anyway. We have so many very talented young forwards at the moment!

People panicked on here when we lost Arrow and Wallace but for potential (notice I said potential and not current status) they wouldn't make the top 6 out of our young forwards. Haas, Fifita, lodge, Oates, carrigan, ofa and tpj all have massive futures with Sua, savelio, mago and Fai also not far behind and all 11 of them being under 24 years old. And it sounds as though the talent pool doesn't even end there which is incredible!

All this and we still have 2 Aussie international forwards peaking right now in their careers who have 3-4 years of quality in front of them.

I'm hoping we don't lose any but we will definetly have to, and not just 1 or 2. It can always change but Fai, savelio, mago and Sua are currently the ones I would hope the club loses ahead of the others, with the retirements of Thaiday, Glenn and now maybe tagatese creating spots. Sims is also a potential to cut to make room, he's been a good stop gap option but if these young forward live up to half of their potential I don't see where he fits.. lol incredible really...

Hopefully Wayne has already had a chat re the 13 jersey in a couple of seasons. Move Moose back into a prop role as he approaches retirement.

So what does our forward pack look like in a few years if we're fitting all these blokes in as well as Oates and possibly Bird moving to the forwards?
8 Lodge
9 McCullough
10 McGuire
11 Oates
12 Gillett
13 Carrigan
14 Sims
15 Pangai
16 Haas
17 Fifita

We are all excited for TPJ to be our Taumalolo but there won't be another Taumalolo for years. TPJ is a bit more skillful but not as hard running. There's a lot of hype around Carrigan as well and he won't be an impact bench player.

NRL's predicted Round 1 line-up.
