2018 NRL Side

So what does our forward pack look like in a few years if we're fitting all these blokes in as well as Oates and possibly Bird moving to the forwards?
8 Lodge
9 McCullough
10 McGuire
11 Oates
12 Gillett
13 Carrigan
14 Sims
15 Pangai
16 Haas
17 Fifita

We are all excited for TPJ to be our Taumalolo but there won't be another Taumalolo for years. TPJ is a bit more skillful but not as hard running. There's a lot of hype around Carrigan as well and he won't be an impact bench player.

I dont think we should hang onto sims if our young guys stand up and make a case in the next 12 months in qld cup and get some game time

Like a lot of others I have always enjoyed what Oates brought to the team but I don't believe he'll be in the 2019 team. I know 2018s just around the corner and Oates may even play some second row but I don't think we're going to need him and he'll be priced out of consideration .

I'm going out on a limb here and say he may not even be good enough to be first choice in the forwards. I hope he is but I just see him leaving . His injury problems won't help in the long run.

On Sims, I think he will grow in value to us, a seasoned hard nut who I believe will continue to improve.

If Oates was happy to stay on the wing (which doesn't seem to be the case) he would probably have a spot for his career, but you're right Huge one.......if he demands a shift he may not get the money he wants from us

NRL's predicted Round 1 line-up.

Yeah I don’t agree Tagatese will be outside the top 17 in favour of Su’a...

Wayne likes experience and with Lodge and Nikorima already more than likely to be added to the starting team, I think that will be enough ‘young blood’ for his taste.

Just a personal view , if darius is shit next year and a pea heart ( sometimes) as a captain , i really do think we hand it to our heart and soul of the team ( Macca)

Is Milf going to be right for the opener? Last I heard he was a chance of missing a few rounds or is it just the trials he is expected to miss?

01 Boyd
02 Oates (Pearson if Oates to forwards)
03 Roberts

You’re kidding.

Bloke played busted and you call him a pea heart.

We played better without Macca.

Macca only plays well when he’s a chance of getting the flick (ie when he has serious competition for his spot).

He’s not captain material.

He’s certainly not the heart and soul of the team.

I think you’re almost right.

Reckon Tagatese might be in front of Savelio.

I love where our pack is going.

Lodge
Sims
Haas
Savelio
TPJ
Gillett
McGuire
Fafita
Offa

Young and big.

Brisbane will do better when our pack isn’t being stood over every week.

You can afford a Mouse and Gillett if the rest of the team is big.

Like to see how our backs go behind a dominant pack.

Milf and Jet will be lethal.

Honestly I'm glad we got rid of Hunt. He's the single worst clutch player to put on a Broncos jersey. Bring on Niko.

We played better without mCCullough!? Hahahahaha! What a yarn.
We scored more points with Hunt at hooker it does not mean we were better. Come on your smarter than this.

At least I had one win last night- spent all night tending to my toddler with explosive vomiting. Not a clean sheet, blanket or pyjama left in the house... FML
Been there recently. Tough times. Hope you figured the source of the vomiting?

We undoubtedly played better.

Macca is your hero; I get it.

But he’s not that great.

Macca is not my hero, but he's one of the best players the broncos have hence his 4 year extension. He is a leader and he makes everyone around him looking better. He is the ultimate team player.
