2019 Broncos Line-up

Is that Jimmy the Jettisoned drunk? What/when is that picture from?

The kid stands up and makes the hard runs. Runs good angles without hesitation. Cuts people down in defence too. He's been better than Ofahengaue so far.

Agree, I love what Flegler brings. Straightens the attack very well, always trying to push through tackles and put himself in a position for the next play. Being young it will take time to mature into the prop position which is a given and very understandable.

The thing I like most about him is his effort. He fights to get up after being tackled. After making tackles he is always trying to get off the ground and into the marker position. He is also one of the very few of our forwards who does work off the ball. Will run two up of the ruck even though he knows the ball might not come to him, which spreads the defence and also one of the only forwards that actually runs decoy.

Even when he looks gassed you can see him pushing himself to get back to position and make back to back tackles or lock a spot in the defensive line.

Once he matures and gains match fitness as a prop I think he will be one of the better work horses in the competition.

Then downfall is that there’s two sims in the side

Flegler's biggest problem is still his fitness. It was the same last year. He is a high impact, low minutes player right now, which is fine.

Totally agree but signs are good. In a season or 2 given he keeps getting game time and another pre-season or 2 he will handle a starting role and bigger minutes pretty well I think.

Will be interesting to see what happens with this Jimmy photo. Some are saying it is old, looks like he has his ratty in one of the photos which has recently made a come back so it could be recently or from a few years ago..
We can’t keep going through this shit with our players when we are playing like this.
Considering Haas’ punishment, I assume if it is recent he will cop a couple of weeks..

BRISBANE BRONCOS
The Brisbane Broncos will investigate star centre James Roberts over an image that allegedly depicts the speedster being carried out of a nightclub by four men.
The photo has spread across social media in recent days and Broncos coach Anthony Seibold told The Sunday Telegraph a member of the club's welfare staff had shown him the picture on Friday night.

It is not yet known when the picture was taken or the circumstances around it.

"I've been told the picture is going around and I've seen it," Seibold said.
"I'll talk to James tomorrow when we're back at training. I don't know when the photo was taken or where it was taken.
"That's what we've got to find out."
Roberts' issues around alcohol are well documented, with the NSW Origin player checking into a Thailand rehab facility in 2016 to deal with grog and drug abuse.
He was sacked from the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Penrith Panthers for repeated off-field incidents earlier in his career.
Roberts is battling an Achilles injury and sat out Thursday's loss to the Sydney Roosters.
An NRL spokesman told The Sunday Telegraph the code's Integrity Unit is aware of the photo, but at this stage it's a matter for Brisbane to handle.
