And now they all have inflated salaries based on just their potential.

Roosters are 'saving up' for TPJ.

They have the cap space to sign TPJ, Dearden, SBW, and a couple of All Blacks. Even if they didn't they'd find a way to get rid of a player they didn't rate at the time even if he was a one club vet.

It's not like any of our young halves are unknown, they're all hyped. At least one (and that's optimistic) will have money thrown at them even if they haven't debuted. Just look at the Dogs offering Carrigan a mil, and halves are a lot harder to come by than quality forwards.

Is this reason for the Broncos to take more caution with throwing someone like Deardon in the deep end?

We took our time with Ashley Taylor and we ended up losing him. (I think he still struggles physically in the NRL)

I don't think that's why we lost him, we just picked Hunt over him. They both seem ordinary now.

We lost him because Wayne chose Hunt. It was a reasonable call at the time.

I don't think that's why we lost him, we just picked Hunt over him. They both seem ordinary now.

I always wanted us to release Macca and shift Hunt to hooker. Alot of people are now coming to the conclusion that hooker could be Hunt's best position.

I'd take Taylor in a heartbeat. I'd be happy with Milf and Taylor leading us around I believe. I rate Taylor and think he will get better with age as his body hardens up and I think he's better under pressure than either Hunt or Nikorima. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play for Qld next year.

It’s gonna be hard for him to impress playing for the titans though.
