For all the criticism of Boyd, of which there has been plenty and most of it deserved, I genuinely do wonder why he would run out again in 2020, given he offered absolutely nothing this year.

I also want to be clear; I’ve been incredibly critical of him this year and made plenty of jokes at his expense, but this is not one, this is a genuine question.

Aside from collecting his pay, why else could he possibly keep playing? Surely he knows he is cooked and has been for some time now? Particularly if they strip him of the captaincy; what else, of actual value, does he think he’ll be providing to the team?

I’m still backing Milford at fullback if we can secure the services of a half with a kicking game.

If milf is fullback (which i dont think he should be), he has a massive amount of work to do on his defensive positioning, fitness, support play and involvement.

If bird is 6, we definitely need to purchase a game managing halfback. Although i think dearden will get there, it is unfair to expect him to lead the broncos when he is still learning his game, and so few senior players for guidance.

Milford was arguably the best 6 in the game in 2015 and 2016. I don't get the hate. No play maker is good when they don't have any other players in the spine.

I honestly think if they out Sezer or someone at 7 he would be one of, if not the best 6 in the game.

IF Bird is 6, I think Milford should be our 7. Dearden and Paix should develop a combo in Q cup and prepare to be the Broncos long term halves combo. Milford and Bird can be moved on by then.

We can’t rush the young halves. It may be better not to.

Grain of salt... as with most things on the internet and this forum.

Although the Broncos are known to lie until the deal is finalised.

Isaako needs to be given a chance to prove that he can be a fullback in the NRL and a spine player that leads a side.

When he made his debut on the wing he was seemingly handed the leadership when it came to kicking field goals, conversions and even touch finders from penalty kicks.. I remember seeing him run from his wing on one side of the field, all the way to the other just so Milford could hand him the ball to find touch...

His career was following a similar trajectory to Holmes and Tuivasasheck’s.. They were star wingers when they came into NRL and noone was sure if they had what it took to be top teir fullbacks.. Noone really knows until you give them a shot..

Isaako has what it takes to play fullback for us. Look at who we’ve had there in the past 10 years and you’ll see that he’d be right near the top of that scrap heap.

And when he becomes too expensive... We just sell him off and put in Tesi Niu
