POST GAME [2022 State of Origin - Game I] NSW vs QLD

Carrigan best on ground so far.

Whilst grant is dangerous running from dummy half, he creates so much chaos that even the qlders get confused and nothing happens.

Dce is a myth. Kafausi has been pretty good so far, I'm very worried about our left side defence, it's not looking very solid

Carrigan will play every origin from now on barring injury, the type of player made for this game, should start next game though in the 13.

DCE is the reason we are not pulling away in this game, QLD soo badly needs a good 7.

Been saying it for years, Dce is the luckiest halfback, and now captain, in our history. Lucky that there's not many options.

DCE is a good player in Manly's system, but he isnt the kind of halfback to control a game at this level. I think Hunt or Walker would be better options. The big stage doesnt seem to phase Sam and i'd certainly blood him.

People saying Grant is looking poor, I thought Hunt’s service was awful in that first stint.

Carrigan holding court in the dressing room at halftime says a lot.

He’ll be the next captain

He's been such a massive turning point off the bench though and I don't think Cotter has done much wrong either. He's been getting in behind the ruck and finding his front.

The problem has been when it gets into the backline... they have no idea what they're doing out there

wow big raps on carrigan there in dressing room hes got all eyes on him while hes explaining things. thats pretty impressive for a young bloke in your first origin game.

It might be his first origin but there wouldn't be a single bloke in the QLD side who isn't aware that he's probably the best forward in the team

By best, I mean consistency

Cotter has been great. Done what we need him to and kept things tight.

I’d say Cotter and Carrigan have been our best so far.

I think Bhunt is a decent shout only because he doesn't mind being a first receiving halfback and I think that's what Munster needs.

Just need a guy doing the Arey role and moving it around the field, but is also happy to create the space out the back.
