He will be a target for Dolphins because he played for them from 7-17.

The above highlights how light on experience we still are and with Reynolds, Marty and likely Capes and Oates starting to wind things up we will experience another imbalance in terms of experience.

I think the club needs to cop the risk of losing some promising juniors and take this opportunity to go out and buy at least one or two 100 Gamers. Step one for me would be getting a guy on the right 2nd row who has 100 quality games under his belt and pushing Riki to the bench/middle rotation. I’d be tempted to do the same for left centre and let Cobbo and Mariner fight it out for the right wing spot like young players should have to anyway.

Eg: Peta Hiku, Jesse Ramian

By time the older player mentioned look at retiring, a lot of our squad should be hitting that sweet 100 game mark. We're entering our dynasty years!

Donuts after losing Farnworth and Flegler:

“It’s disappointing, but we respect their decision and at least as a team and as a club we know where we stand heading into the season. Herbie and Tom have given ‘Kev’ their absolute commitment that they will give it their all this year and we don’t farewell them until the end of the year."
“The market is still adjusting with a new salary cap and a new team, but we now have certainty with our own position ahead of round one. We’ve been really disciplined with our recruitment and re-signed a lot of players over the past two seasons.”

Parker:

“The attraction of the Broncos unfortunately has lost its shine. There is another threat now to the Broncos. Any time you bring another team in there’s options for everyone and Redcliffe have money to spend, they haven’t overspent and they are building a roster to make them successful long term. What used to be the big bright red light of the Broncos has actually diminished and that’s because of the seasons that have unfolded over the last four years. That’s a reality. Over a long period of time, the big lights of the Broncos were burning bright, but they are not the powerhouse they used to be."
“When I was at the Broncos, I had guys like Shane Webcke, Petero Civoniceva and Andrew Gee, household names, to learn from and that’s not there anymore at the Broncos. Flegler and Farnworth are outstanding signings for the Dolphins – I have no doubt they will kick on there.”

Well, Salty Grey Parker, you were a senior player at the club for a good few years...you were the Webcke/Civo/Gee to our young props. What did you teach them? If the club has lost its shine, unfortunately mate, your leadership (or lack of) is absolutely a part of that decline. You were around when the wheels started falling off.

Who are our props for '24?

Haas, Carrigan, Jensen, Willison, Bayliss, Te Kura.....

Does Taupau get another year?.

If it's JWH last year at Roosters we should definitely get him. Roosters will send him to SL though probably.

Who's on the market for '24, we need to get another solid prop or 2. Chase NAS maybe.

Te Kura won't be an option till 25.

Dunno bout that, if he's getting run in trials already and playing Cup. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a run late in the year, early next year.

There are always Q Cup props we can chase, there are a few there who will do a solid job if needed.

He got a run in the trial 12 months ago too. He's young and has a long way to go. He's played four ISC games off the bench.

His game awareness is low and just understanding of his role. If he played Cup for the next two years that would be 40 games. and he'd be 20 years old.

Agree Te Kura looked good in trails with potential rawness but Logan has the body to do it but lack of potential.

Agree that given time, Te Kura would develop a lot but I can’t say the same about Logan(yet).
