2023 State of Origin - Game III Discussion

Am I reading their front row correctly? Jake’s had one game back in the nrl hasn’t he?

No Cobbo. Only 1 Bronco in SOO3.
 
So with Haas out (presumably injured) and only Patty playing for QLD we have 1 origin player for game 3. Staggs robbed though. I think he's better than Best.

Pretty happy with that.

I think Fred copped so much flack over Turbo and the repeated Mitchell drama he's done a backflip on injuries. Problem was he didn't see Billy's presser about not carrying injured players until after the Game II team was announced, so he had no way of knowing it was a bad idea.

I'm actually shocked he dropped Luai, I expected more half-measures like the rumoured Luai starting but Cody to the bench move. But he continues to appear to learn lessons in one place only to fall over his own feet in five others.

Not sure if it's accurate, but saw someone on Twitter mention there's been something like fifteen one-gamers under Freddy's tenure as Blues coach. And yet Billy copped it for daring to make some changes coming into Game I...

I would say Staggs is blacklisted now.

He shouldn't be because he really wasn't playing badly when he got his shot, he just got injured early but before then he was causing QLD some headaches. I feel like the longer the game went on, the better he would have got if he didn't get injured.
 
How the **** does Dylan Edwards not get named anywhere in the squad. Easily the most in form fullback they have had in the last 2 years.
Bradman best, **** me, that's multi heaven down his side.

Wonder how many who bought tickets for this game will actually turn up. I'm sure a good number will be loathe to travel out knowing full well we'll be lifting the shield at the end of the night.

Many will take one look at Freddy's latest picks and will be already making alternative plans. How pleasing to see we're only contributing one player albeit he's at least worth three because of the effort he puts in.

Pleased Horse is getting a run and I think Luai's post after the game has stamped his card for good too. Bye Felecia!

not to mention that Haas, while carrying that niggle, ran for 200m+ on the weekend, lol

but thanks Freddy, now we don't have to go to the trouble of resting him during a Broncos game
