I honestly think NSW have got themselves so confused over the loyalty v form issue they just can't see the forest for the trees anymore.
Their forward pack at least held it's own and dominated in patches so far. No need to change too much except for injury. It's converting opportunity to points that's been the issue.
Tedesco is the perfect example of loyalty v form. The guy is done at this level but they won't admit it, not an easy decision but one that needed to be made.
Now they go for 35yr old Cody who's had his chance, isn't the future and all his so form is within the Souffs structures whixh he won't get here. Meanwhile while they overlook Nico again. No loyalty.
There are other current examples, the messaging is mixed and a cluster, you just would not know what to think.
Then in the background you have "experts " like Gus and Matty John's chiming in along with every journo throwing their 2 cents.
The entire plan was built around Panthers which fell apart once Nathan was injured and they had no plan B.
My predictions for next week. Cody to shit the bed, Best to play his only origin, Teddy to retire.

Yep, and even Souths' system revolves around Mitchell, and while he has been out they have fallen way back to the rest of the pack.

This NSW side dominates IMO

Cody is a big body who will wreak havoc

Gutho from the bench is a good call. Lot of big bellies in QLD team who will struggle to contain him in the middle

Jake will put shots on and fold Qlds middle forwards

To be fair, it's likely to be a correct prediction based purely on the fact that clean sweeps don't happen often.

There's been 19 opportunities for clean sweeps in Origin history, only 7 times has it happened.

QLD are 4 from 8. NSW are 3 from 11.

Dominates is the problem i have with the prediction lol so many question marks over the nsw side personally i think they will be pushing shit up hill for meters, tedesco will be where sweep plays go to die and the centers will have more holes than my underwear.

Qld on the other hand my only concern is brimson but he has the advantage of being a qlder so he will lift.

It's honestly insulting that Staggs wasn't called up for the Blues before Best, not only is he a better centre, he covers more positions as well.

Fittler is cooked in the head.

JT has been warned by the NRL to tone down his antics on the sideline.

There's a zone the NRL want the staff of each team to stay in, and he's been exiting that zone carrying on and apparently had a few words with a touch judge as well.

The NRL have given him a warning for it.

NSW can pick who they want, it's pretty obvious at this point that QLD just care more.

This is a dead rubber though, so NSW could win and it wouldn't be a shock.

It's actually a big indictment if NSW don't win this game. At home against a team that already knows it has won the series. There is a reason there isn't many sweeps. They have finally picked Walker which is a positive for them. But they did pick Bradman Best and one of the worst benches you will ever see. So that offsets it.

QLD 56-2

It probably benefits QLD for NSW to actually win this nothing game, NSWRL will think they are awesome again, Freddy might be able to convince them to keep his job and we'll see this whole NSW selection bumbling and tom foolery again in next year series.
