The criteria is Bellew would have to be convinced that player would be selected had they been available, but the clubs have to apply for that Origin match to be included. It's not automatically included.

Given Walsh has been the fullback for the past two games, I would say he was guaranteed to be selected had he been available.

As much as it is all pure absurd, I hope the whole team galvanizes and tears to shreds from here on every game we play this year.

We’ve a capable replacement in Sailor do, we’re in good hands. Main concern would be how we overcome the loss of both Riki & Flegler. Hopefully their injuries turn to be less severe(3-5 weeks perhaps) than they’re assumed to be.

All in all, perfect time for Kev to rev up & instill “us against all” mentality in the group and fire them up.

Bit of a Catch-22 here. He is not available for selection due to suspension, and can't have it included because he is not selected.

Hopefully every suncorp game butler does from here on out the chant of **** will ring out so he can hear it.
I was next to some guys chanting "Buck, Buck, Buck!" at Suncorp one night as Buck ran around after a try, and a lady chewed them out for being rude with her kids around. I can only imagine the scenes if this happened.

The club can still apply for the exemption.

They only need to established the likelihood of selection. Bellew can still approve for rep matches to be included even before the selection process.

This was an update last year regarding All-Stars fixtures and other Test matches, but this was already in place for Origin matches.

“Additionally, the annual All-Stars fixture and other test matches will be formally recognised as representative matches under the Judiciary Code, permitting Players who have been selected, or can establish the likelihood of their selection, to serve suspensions in those matches,” the NRL said.

“The amendments will be effective from the start of the 2022 Ampol State of Origin Series.”

Radley was suspended after our match in 2021 a week before the sides for the first Origin match were selected and the Roosters applied to have that Origin match included and were successful.

He had better do it, otherwise it would be highly corrupt. He clearly wanted the decision to be guilty, as he was the deciding vote, so in not accepting this application it would indicate an extreme prejudice. It is more obvious that Walsh would be selected for Origin 3 that it was that he was calling the ref a ****.

Buck that lady lol

They’d know about defending a mate the way they’ve protected an alleged abuser (Kent)

Pathetic mob
Gordie happy to talk shit about Lodge on every show he is on but not a peep about his mate Kent. Weak as piss. If my mate (as I am sure all of you on here would) was belting his missus he wouldn’t be a mate anymore and I would have plenty to say, however apparent legends of the toughest sport in the world are strangely silent.

I guess in Luai's case, the camera angles were inconclusive if he pushed the ref or he pushed his teammate so that's why it was a fine only.

That's what gets me. Surely if the NRL are against ref abuse, they should be coming down hard on the "physically touching" the ref rule. It wasn't even accidental (like unavoidable contact during play), it was a player shoving a ref out of the way. Even if it didn't occur to him at the time, that's too bad, he needs to be more aware. And, like the "set's an example" used to justify Walsh's suspension, there is every possibility that him not being charged will lead to kids thinking they can give the ref a shove and just say "oops".

And yet here we have something that, even if we think he was yelling at the ref (which people are entitled to believe), it was not as conclusive as a caught-on-camera-direct-shove. So why, again, is it the Bronco player that is made an example of???

The NRL website has him listed to return in round 22

making him suspended for the Dolphins, Bye, Origin 3, Bulldogs and Rabbitohs games

Not being picked in Origin should count. Wayne fucked that up by using it to get Broncos back quicker though.

What are you expected Ng him to say? The lawyers who are far, far smarter than him would have told them to not say a peep.

If they didn't, the HR and PR teams absolutely would have.

And people still think there is no agenda against the broncos.

Shove a ref, no sanction, swear In their general direction cop a 3 match suspension.

Scuffle with a team mate, sanction and match ban.
Get arrested for fighting In public nothing.

You cannot tell me there is no double standard based on the jersey you wear.

He's been acting like a prat on the field all season apparently, and showing up to the hearing with what came across as a concocted bullshit excuse might not have helped his case. And Adam Reynolds contradicting it wouldn't have helped his credibility.

Could have gone either way. I started out buying into it, but by the end I'd had enough of it. It was schoolboy stuff. Once you see it as bullshit, it's hard to unsee it. And it's not a good look.

Take it on the chin. Pull your head in. Become captaincy material.

Some leaked photos from where they adjudicated Reece's guilty outcome.
