At .253, he’s a far greater danger to road users than someone with traces of a drug in their system.
Eh, pretty much a moot point seeing as mam crashed. They were both equally dangers on the road. Let's see how much of a run this story gets though.

Mark Nawaqanitawase is not eligible for Rookie of the Year after the ARLC changed the eligibility rules on Friday.

Now Rugby Union players with International experience will no longer be eligible for the award.

The new rule:

Players are eligible for the Rookie of the Year in their debut season and the subsequent two NRL seasons.

Once a player plays five (5) professional matches in any sporting code, league or competition as determined by the NRL (which will include without limitation the NRL Premiership, English Super League, Rugby Union or Rugby Sevens), he becomes ineligible for the Rookie of the Year in any subsequent seasons.

Common sense prevails.

They've changed the criteria so many times since I've been following it's difficult to keep up. So to be eligible you can only have played five games or less within the past two seasons? So players who debuted in 2022 aren't eligible for this award?

So Ben Te Kura is still eligible for 2026 if he doesn't play another game?

Just wanted to hop on and send some positive wishes to Herbie, looks like the phins could go the big dance this year and blowing your hammy at this point .. he must be gutted. I guess I'm posting this under the "once a Bronc always a Bronc" heading .. got some good memories of him in the maroon and gold and wish him well.
