5 New Immortals Named - Not Darren Lockyer

Get fucked. Booo!!!! Booo the NRL!

Norm Provan and Mal Meninga are officially Immortals.

But whatever. As I said, the concept is corrupted beyond repair already.

So everyone apart from Locky gets in

Lockyer will find it hard to get in now. In time he'll get grouped in with Thurston, Inglis, Smith and Slater. Will not be easy.

I wonder what the media whores like Ikin, Kent and Tallis think when all of these great's of the game get up and talk about how instrumental Wayne was to them and their career?

Lockyer will get their one day... the next naming is reportedly in 4 years none of Thurston, Smith, Inglis or Slater will be eligible for 2 reasons ... they won't have been retired for 5 years and none are in the hall of fame

Set up beautifully for a Langer/Lockyer double at the next induction.

if 2 Broncos are inducted at the same time (or ever) the the NSW fans will burn down Rugby League Central ... probably lead by that scum they call the rugby league media

That would be an added benefit.

A man can dream.

I think Lockyer would sit comfortably above slater, inglis and Thurston. Smith would rival and possibly pip him but it's debatable.
The others still have have gloss on careers. In 5 or 10 years, there may another superstar centre or fulback, but inspirational leaders that are also all time great players are rare.
Thurston probably should be up there but his last year will detract (not fairly perhaps, but it will).
So I reckon smith and Lockyer would be picked from the generation gone, atleast eventually.
Who knows who will be stand on top of the heap of current players in 5 years? Tpj? Faffita? Some yet to debut?
You can just never tell.

And right on schedule the NSW scum start celebrating that Johns is an Immortal and Lockyer isn't.

Sickening.

How does a bloke who's never won a premiership become an Immortal?

Lockyer will get in eventually, and will end up looking more legit getting in later.

All Immortals must first be members of the Hall of Fame.

All members of the Hall of Fame must be retired for a period of five years to be eligible.

Also pretty sure you have to contribute off the field in the community and within the nrl, as well as the obvious being a Legend on the field.

Lockyer will be there, no stress
