A Bronco in hotwater...

there are 3 back rowers on the field, one looks like he's running with a purse, another looks like he's just has a facial from a beauty salon, while the third has a short fuse and will possibly pull your hair if u farted in his presence.

There's always a few of these types of accusations per year against Broncos players, luckily we have the biggest broom & rug in the NRL.

I reckon even if Thaiday killed a KFC worker in cold blood for being out of potato and gravy, we could cover that up. Self defence for sure.

A judge would probably understand the situation and the hard times it would bring on him - the affect it would have on the community and taking into account his previous good history, bullying as a teenager, having gf's break up with him when in high school all form to put pressure on their decisions as an adult.

Yeah besides I thought it was Milford who had the KFC problem...

Sorry forgot no names. Heaven forbid a fan forum engage in rumour mongering!

You can clearly make that (incredibly old and pathetic) joke.

Honestly, it’s pretty obviously why you are being asked not to speculate. A forum can get sued for defamation. If you want to go and mouth off and skirt that line then go do it on your Facebook, Twitter or whatever else. You have been asked not to do it so just get on with it rather than sulking like a petulant child.

So what do we reckon the chances of the identity being confirmed are?

Courier mail has named TPJ. However, he is innocent until proven guilty and police are still not even ready to lay charges. I have zero tolerance for domestic violence so I dearly hope he did not do what was alleged. There are no winners when a relationship turns violent regardless of who starts it.

Brisbane Broncos player being investigated for assault

A BRISBANE Broncos player being investigated by police over whether he assaulted a woman is expected to be able to play in Round 1.

The Courier-Mail can reveal it is 21-year-old prop Tevita Pangai Jr, who is under investigation by police for an alleged assault, after an incident involving his girlfriend Kiki Heineback on Sunday night.

It has been claimed he “slapped and manhandled” Ms Heineback.

An NRL spokesman yesterday confirmed that the NRL Integrity Unit was aware of the matter and would monitor it in conjunction with the Broncos.

It is unlikely Pangai Jr will be stood down while the matter is investigated by police.

Police are yet to lay charges over the matter.

“Police are aware of assault allegations. The matter is being investigated,” a police spokesman said.

Ms Heineback – a 23-year-old who lives in Brisbane – yesterday declined to comment on the incident. She is listed as a personal trainer and gym instructor in Bardon.

The NRL has taken a strong stance on domestic violence issues previously, but unless there are criminal charges, it is unlikely the governing body will become involved in the dispute.

The Broncos open the NRL season against the St George Illawarra Dragons on March 8

A preseason wouldn't be complete without some sort of off field controversy. It is ingrained into the sport.

No charges laid, doubt there will be. Smells like a stitch up ($$$$$$$$)

An oft-quoted mantra for the game: 'It succeeds despite itself'

Disappointing TPJ is involved. Hopefully its a bad coincidence that he seems to be have been spending a bit of time with Lodge (anyone who follows him on social media would've noticed)

Not trying to downplay lodges past... But has he not been an upstanding citizen/committing time to the community ever since he's been back?

From all reports he seems to be, I probably worded that poorly. Didn’t mean that Lodge was a bad influence, just that he happens to be someone with a pretty ordinary past and thus could be made to look like he was (a bad influence) if someone wanted to take that angle ... which I inadvertently ended up doing

Of course it's the telecrap that drags it into the gutter by naming the woman involved. Seriously how is spreading her name, age, location and occupation needed.

If she's going to make accusations that could ruin someones career, why does she deserve to be protected? Or is this the whole, **** the male, she's a victim thing again?
