Just read in the smh that the NRL is now investigating TPJ and 3rd party deals, and he fronts the NRL Integrity Unit on Monday "to discuss missing payments that have infuriated him and have the potential to cause problems for all those connected to his deal."? News to me. Anyone?

it doesn't sound like a cap cheating scenario but rather a scenario that we've seen in the past where an TPA (not included in the cap) hasn't come thorough. but since for it not to be included in the cap it can't be guaranteed by the club, the club can't help out (nor would they want to under current circumstances)

My favourite part is how SBW's taken a 'small' deal for a handful of games this year, but you just know next year he'll be gone and off the books and that'll be the basis for them now claiming to have a spare million freed up in their Salary Cap, which the NRL will of course accept that as being totally fair and reasonable.

I actually think the odds of SBW playing for the Rorters next year are better than Smith playing for anyone.

Then he'll have a crazy good preseason and come out the world beater he can be, next year. Especially if they don't actually win it this year.

When i watched him for the Wolfpack he had the look of a player that had played a year too long. They bought him in to lead and carry the side and he wasnt up to it. He should fair better though in a side like the Rorters where he doesnt have to be the main man.
