Anthony Milford Discussion

Fat & Slow.

Barely in the top 10 halves in the comp right now if you ask me, so disappointing compared to what we saw in 2015 and start of 2016, no idea what's happened to him. Looking like a really, really poor contract unless he drastically improves over the next 24 months.
 
The fact that he was outplayed by Norman of all people does him no favors as far as I'm concerned. Imagine letting that **** play over the top of you.

Have to agree. I think he ran to line once tonight. If he can't take a tackle because of his shoulder he needs to sit out. Our backs got the ball too early too often. Only the Jet can make something out nothing but can't do it every time.
 


Couldn't have said it better myself tbh, he's looking like one of the worst contracts in the league right now, at least until Hunt starts his Dragons tenure.
 
Milford (and Hunt) were largely crap tonight and I suggest it's largely because - sigh - as so often said, we have no structures to play to, no depth, no rhythm, just pass and hope someone does something out of the ordinary.

I actually feel sorry for Milford - what a waste of talent

Our structure was fine for the first 15 minutes.
We lost because we were utterly outplayed and physically dominated from the 16 minute mark onwards. We clocked off. Parramatta stepped up.
Disappointing performance from all 17
 
Was a rubbish game all round tbh, i don't necessarily think its panic stations but def was a game we should have won.
 
To me the most concerning thing is seeing the development of guys like Munster and Morgan, both who are similar to Milford but have gone to the next level whereby milf hasn't really improved over the past couple of seasons.
If he doesn't go to the next level like the forementioned we could well be in serious trouble in the playmaking stakes.

While this is basically true, I don't think TPJ and Ofa deserve to be included in this. We were still in front and competing meter for meter until the time they were subbed. By far our best players tonight, with Gillett a distant third.

Silver lining, TPJ's motor is improving, and it's only a matter of time until he takes over the lock position permanently, while Ofa is starting to show his worth as a meter eater in the Civoneciva mould.

Agree 100%.

I think TPJ should move into the lock position as soon as he can just for the balance of the team and I doubted Ofa's ability to go to the next level, but he has really proved me wrong.

I used to look forward all week to watching Milford carve it up. Now when I watch him, I just hope he doesn't **** up

For Milford they need good half coach. I am not confident on Jason Demetriou our attacking coach can help Milford.

Milford has sadly become a has been. Remember that dynamic pocket rocket who busted tackles, scored length of field tries and had impeccable support play? Well he's long gone. Give him millions of dollars to be something he's not. Well done idiots.
