RUMOUR Anthony Seibold offered $1 Million to leave

please don't insult me like that ... i support the club, not a coach.

as i've said previously, i do not believe Kevin Walters is head coach material ... but unlike Bgoat, should he get the job, i'll support him, desperately praying he proves me wrong
Hey I hoped to be proven wrong by Pies, I just wasn’t.

I’d say Gentle will take over for the rest of year, we could do worse..
New coach won’t be appointed until new CEO (Ikin) is in place.
You would have to think it’s be between Green and Walters. Hopefully Kevvie gets it if it is between those two. Still not convinced he is the answer though..
Frank Pennisi would be a good get, and may also bring one of the Smith‘s with him..
Get rid of the rest of the board and we will actually have some hope.

I'll admit I'd be over the moon if Flanagan gets involved. Yes, I hate the ped thing but every days a school day and I think he's probably learned a hard lesson from that experience.

I won't get my hopes up but his hard nosed approach would at least get us part way to where we all want.
I also like a certain son that when Sam walker debuts is on the outer

Kearney, Gentle and Henry. Engage Parker and Hodges too.

why Gentle? ... if we are sacking seibs, i'd also be clearing the deck of anyone that had a hand in this year.

Parker can stay, because he has barely had a hand in things, due to not being in the bubble

I don't want to see Flanagan within 10 feet of Brisbane.
@Huge this might interest you. According to Rothfield Flanagan is finishing up at Saints in 5 weeks, he only ever signed on for one year as an assistant to Mary.

In the same article:

SHOOSH VII

Which highly-regarded official from a rival club is being considered by the Brisbane Broncos for a role as a general manager of football next year on a revamped management team. This guy is a good operator who can fix their culture issues.

I wonder who this might be??

Because he looks like he has a good relationship with the players and has a clue but also more than happy to move on.

What do we do if Seibs digs his heels in. He still has probably over 3 million owing to him.

He has $3M if he was a performing employee. There is a clear case here that he underperformed, and was probably given due notice what the expectations are. Outside the NRL bubble, this is usually enough grounds to come to an agreement to avoid the performance plan. If I'm a contractor, and I do a rubbish job - I don't get paid and I wouldn't expect to last the entirety of the contract. If I do half the job, I can get an understanding to retrieve some payment.

Likewise, if the employees are up in arms at him as a manager, there's also grounds there to come to an agreement or risk losing the staff.

It's a negotiation not just in $$ terms . He would want to walk away with whtas left of his reputation. It would be in his best interests to take a healthy payout and leave as quietly as possible which may allow him to coach again.
If he digs in it's still in our best interests to pay him out. The brand damage from another year of this including Merch, ticket sales sponsors etc would be far in excess of 3 mill.
