Ashes 2015 Series in-game thread

Cracks appearing in the England phschy . Will be difficult to come back from this as Aussies came back from the first test.

Very well done by the Aussies. That was a pleasure to watch.

I actually think the English can still win the series, but only if they've had the guts to prepare swinging pitches. We're still extremely weak against movement in the air.
If we see three more pitches like this one though, we should be up 4-1 by the end.

The problem is, England's bowling strength is their opening quicks and then that's it/ If they play to that strength, our quicks are even better and we have more of them. Plus our spinner is better and we have Bradman at three. What can England do now in terms of pitches to stop us since we are better in just about every department?

England press already eating their own lol

Typical. Win and you get a knighthood. Lose and it's off to the penal colonies or where ever they imported them from.

What happened to that Aussie dude who they pinched and played one game or something? Surely he's got to better than Lyth, anyone has to be, right?

WTF. Seriously Australia. **** me are they still partying from Lords?

Yeah there's that English swing bowling...

Our batsmen only have to deal with swing bowling every few years, so it's no surprise that they struggle. Only guy with experience against it is Rogers.

They should've come and faced me on a Saturday arvo a couple of years ago! :D

Yeah it looks like the Pommie bowlers performed well in the conditions .... moving the ball about a lot.

Thing is, the conditions should've been pretty similar for our bowlers, and we didn't perform as well as they did.

Our batting is just anemic all too often ... one day 5 for 500, the next 5 for 50 ... I remain anything but convinced that an all-rounder has any place in a test side unless they're something extremely special. The mitchell marsh's of this world just end up giving sub-par returns with bat and ball 9 times out of 10 ... Pick 6 specialist batsmen and let the specialist bowlers do their job.

We've pissed away the momentum in this test and possibly the ashes.

Sure was, used to take the new ball until my knees turned into dental floss!

If Australia can put on another 120-130 which is not impossible if they go about it right, they could give themselves a fighting chance. The batting is what it is in this test but my big question is what exactly Voges did to get the gig ahead of S Marsh?

This has nothing to do with swing bowling. It is simply poor batting. Conditions are good enough for batting if you are willing to work hard for your runs. Clarke and Voges are woefully out of form. Smith has decides to have an ordinary test and Marsh has been poor as well. Just dreadful shot selection once again will be our down fall. Shame, shame, shame.
