Ashes Discussion

Just move him down to 7 and bat Carey at 6 in the meantime.

Green's bowling has been great, agree he deserves to keep his spot but he needs to work on his batting.

I'll be pissed off if we drop him and it ruins his confidence. We saw it with Renshaw.

Also who is the alternative? Mitch Marsh.... no fucking thanks.

Needs a spell from Test cricket
Not sure he needs a spell given he's already dominated shield... I'd say he needs some coaching to identify his issues and give him something to work on.

Probably what he does need is 12 months of nothing but long form cricket and definitely no T20's.

He'll be touring Asia in the upcoming games... not sure how it will all pan out, but avoiding the T20 slogfests and maybe looking at a County stint (ala Marnus) might be beneficial.

Or even just taking a break after the upcoming Asia tours, focussing on his defence through coaching and then prepping for Shield and the Australian summer

Yeah I don't think we can afford to carry him in our top 6 at the moment.

This has been one of the most assured, chanceless Test match knocks from an Australian batsman in some time.. Khawaja has looked like he's been floating on a cloud from the moment he came to the crease..

He got dropped on 20, was a sitter too.

Great knock. Now if Cummins can top the wicket takers in first innings, thats an easy $1100.

Yep surely that's a nail in Harris's coffin now, surely.
I think the conversation will get much loader now... despite Warne's ongoing defence of his fellow Victorian.

I would've had Ussie opening this summer, but his competency against spin should have him well and truly in the conversation as the opener for the upcoming tours.

Hoping Ussie can reset himself during the break and look to really attack the poms in the next session... thinking the Aussies will want to put the foot down now after seeing Cummins intent once we hit 300

That looked to be going down leg.

I reckon Broad and his running away appeals are an attempt to influence umpires... like "it's so plumb I don't even need to appeal"

Would have been a textbook Broad wicket that

He had no idea whether or not it was out, went upstairs anyway, they went up for a catch and he's missed it by a mile, nearly got him for LBW
