Australia vs India - Test Series

Wasting time, but if it doesn't rain India win... I'm confused

Wasting time would suggest you think draw becomes a more likely scenario therefore Australia can't win.

If it doesn't rain India wins... so there's enough time to chase 300+ runs but not enough time to take 10 wickets

🤔🤔🤔
I think we are still a huge chance of winning with the way the pitch played today.

What I don’t get is why we didn’t declare earlier? They win if they get a draw. we need them at the crease as long as possible to get them all out. Am I missing something here? The highest run chase is 236! What was the fucking point? Especially with the rain hanging around.
I think the likes of Rohit, Gill and Pant etc. has Payne/Langer a bit concerned. They have played above expectation all series and a generous declaration resulting in a loss would be a disastrous way to end the summer. Personally with the number of cracks in the pitch coupled with the impending storms leaves India at 0% of victory. Aussies would be at about 70% and a draw 30%.

Yeah I noticed that too, not a great look. I personally would of liked to see Cummins with the new ball, I know he copped a bump on the arm batting but he should of been out there as well.
I actually prefer the day night tests, they have more to offer imo but in saying that I think kookaburra balls are less superior to the duke ball and that’s one of the main reasons you see consistent movement in England even when the ball js getting old.
It pains me to see a game of AFL or NRL being played on a cricket oval.
Yeah Cummins should probably get the new ball. But Starc is there to swing the new ball so if he’s not taking it his place is in big doubt. Pattinson seems to bowl well with old or new ball get and Jhye Richardson could be anything. Dunno if I could pick Starc for South Africa and just cross your fingers that he swings it.

To me it should be win win win them dragging it out felt like pain saving himself the embarrassment of losing to India B. That’s pretty shit.

but I see your view.

Anyway could be an awesome finish, can you turn up and get tickets? Might leave work for the last session if it’s a thriller

Jhye should be next cab off the rank provided he can bowl 20 odd overs a day. He just came off shoulder surgery though so is understandably in cotton wool.

This year's ashes series would be a good debut series for him being in Australia... hopefully CA learn from their mistakes and play both Gabba and Perth (5 test series so they should both get a game), but they have a fucking hard on for the 3 main roads of Australia in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.

If I was picking an Aussie test team for the Ashes today, this would be my side:

1. Warner
2. Pucovski
3. Labushagne
4. Smith
5. Maxwell
6. Green
7. Paine
8. Cummins
9. Richardson
10. Lyon
11. Hazlewood

I would definitely get around this side, just swap Maxwell and Green around because I think the youngster is the better bat of the two.

Will probably be the last series for Paine and Lyon won't be far behind him.

Can we force Gill to stay in Australia when the rest of the Indian team leaves? Hold him captive and force-feed him Vegemite until he's Australian.
