Just in case we haven't had enough stress this season

Yep Brissy is going to do it the hard way again.

Bazley is impressive

There’s the hard way, the easy way and the Brisbane heat way

If the Heat didn't stuff up those two games, they would likely be top now.

Burns is batting well tonight, being very aggressive, so credit must be given where it is due.

Just on the innings you’ve highlighted; 2 are from 2013 and the other from 2017. The fact they’re a long / very long time ago aside, I’m quite sure anyone could cherry pick a fair few more than 3 of his innings across his remaining 44 BBL innings that make him look sluggish at best (BBL08 would be a good place to start).

Regardless, as a Queensland sporting fan, I’m more than happy for Burns to prove me wrong, but I will need a lot more than a couple of innings from 7 years ago and him being on his way to one good innings this season. If he can bat this way for the remainder of BBL10, then I’ll happily eat humble pie.
Those innings were in reference to your statement that in Burns’ biggest partnerships he was the ‘grinder’ while others hit at a good strike rate. They were not in reference to recent form.

I’m surprised you think Heazlett should be selected ahead of Burns given their records.

With Lynn, Denly and Burns inside the top 4 it's gone from rookies and inexperience to completely stuffed with experience.

Also need to remember that we've gone the entire tournament thus far without Sweppo... Mujeeb and Sweppo were a great spinning combo last year and we haven't been able to fill that hole with Kuhnemann

The heat have really stepped up since Lynn got injured.
Well done boys.

What a great night for Joe. Shame he slashed it straight to Usman, deserved to hit the winning runs. Hope he can just focus on hitting some runs and regrowing his hair which is clearly a factor having shaved most of it off this summer

I just realised, Jack Wildermuth looks like Corey Oates.

I don’t believe that is what I said, but you’re entitled to interpret it how you like.

Honestly though, this discussion is going nowhere fast, as it’s subjective and a matter of opinion only. The only support I can throw behind my opinion is that the Australian selectors seemingly agree with my assessment of Burns’ credentials as a T20 batsman. That’s not meant to be a half-smart middle finger to you either, it’s just a fact.

I’ve also already stated why I would persevere with Heazlett (and of course I could be a wrong), so I don’t know what else you want me to say. Before Burns’ innings last night, neither were worth feeding on recent form, so you could just as easily flip a coin.
